In all fairness, everyone would look thinner from that angle, Nemova. Though it can't be denied that Eva is looking super thin these days.
But what about her no-longer-existing breasts? Even from that angle she looks sick too me. She used to have everything a little bigger..Originally posted by chickonspeed@Jan 5th, 2004 - 4:01 pm

And what would them be? Please, please tell us.Originally posted by classic1908@Feb 19th, 2003 - 7:24 pm
And Ms. Wintour never will get a clue, as long as Si Newhouse keeps her on as editor and the advertisers are happy. I have other theories about the stick-thin ideal, but I am reluctant to share them.
I was never a big fan of hers, but I agree with you about Anna's somments. Wake up, Anna! She's sick and shouldn't be fed compliements to reinforce her incredibly distorted body image.Originally posted by Eskimo@Feb 11th, 2003 - 3:02 am
She is obviously anorexic. The condition which causes body hair to grow so densely close to the skin is brought about primarily by starvation. I commented on the images at SaltyT - I used to admire Eva for her unique beauty, but I was nearly reduced to tears by that photo. And Wintour's comment made me feel physically sick. It's times like these I despise the fashion industry.![]()
PS: Anna also wouldn't allow Renee Zellwegger to appear on the cover of Vogue when she was either gaining or losing (I can't remember which)her Bridget Jones' Diary weight. Once she lost the weight, THEN and only then was she allowed to be in the mag. Someone said Anna is a size 6- she looks like a zero!Originally posted by Nicky@Feb 12th, 2003 - 3:50 pm
Her pal said: Eva did not look well, but nevertheless she was booked by Anna Wintour who said she thought she looked great.
I find that hard to believe  unless Ms. Wintour is pure![]()
I think it's not fair to say "oh, maybe she's not anorexic, she just looks really sick, but that's all". Eva never looked like that, nor many other skinny girls out there. Saying everyone is anorexic is cruel and wrong, but being reluctant to admit that some of those girls have a serious illness is even worse... that would make us really close to all those hypocrites that hail models-famine-victims' look...Originally posted by kate@Jan 6th, 2004 - 4:05 pm
I am not saying that she is anorexice either. She just looks sick and skinny...very..very skinny. She should not be put in any ads or covers looking this way. Nobody wants to see this!![]()
That wasn't Anna Wintour or Vogue. You're talking about Harper's Bazaar, if you're going by that show on the Style Network.Originally posted by nycgirl84@Jan 6th, 2004 - 12:28 pm

As long as model agencies continue to make money, this aint gonna change is it? I was in the modelling industry for just six months and was shocked enough by what I saw to change my career.Originally posted by leyla m.@Feb 13th, 2003 - 7:43 pm
i really blame the model business... young healthy naive girls turn into monsters. the ones at DKNY looked like little kids until they begged us to go to the toilet cause they had things to do!!! i mean come one, can someone help them???? :?

About Fernanda Tavares, I have to make a comment.. she was indeed full of cellulite, and I'm not to judge, but if you get paid tons of dollars to look beautiful, you should get your body in shape. I doubt she would show up on any NY or Paris runway show looking like she did here. She was ugly. And so was Frankie Rayder, and that showed some lack of respect with brazilian audience. You know, they kill themselves to look gorgeous around the world, and then when they come here, it's like "uh, holidays!!". I don't think they should be skinny, but at least cellulite-free!!! Gisele has the same look here or everywhere else. That's professionalism.Originally posted by ChinaLove@Jan 6th, 2004 - 8:55 pm
I remember a few years ago during Sao Paulo Fashion Week, the Brazilian media was tearing up the models for being fat. They insisted that Fernanda Tavares was fat and cellulite ridden, Ana Beatriz was chunky and Ana Claudia was thick...

I agree with you, this is a sensitive subject, so is seeing pic of Eva,looking the way she does, but at the end of the day, let be Real with this. Kids do look up to these models and want to be like them, therefore by any means necessary to look like that. MOST young girls are wannabe models, fact. Younger girls are more likely to become anorexic, due to the bombardment of images of ultra thin girls on the covers of magazines. If some adults are made self-conscious,because they dont look like models(that are over airbrushed)on magazine covers, and arent the perfect 10, how can anyone expect young impressionable girls not to be affected as well?Originally posted by AlmostFamous@Jan 5th, 2004 - 5:17 pm
Now lets just stop before we create another "models are the reason for anorexia" argument. Please, check your facts. Its a very sensitive subject, you can't just throw around statements like. I get a little offended.![]()
