I think to say that models merely mirror our ideals is a very naive perspective. That's like saying advertising doesn't affect the public. Whose ideal woman is a 6ft size 8 (UK) woman? I am pretty sure that it wasn't ingrained in me by biological preference but by the women I see in magazines. I love insanely skinny figures and wish I had one but that is not normal. Plus I don't think because of our own experiences we can know about everybody else or society as a whole. I could start talking about myself but I wont. No one is saying that the only cause for Anorexia is the media but who can forget that cases of it increased tremendously on Fiji after TV had been there for a few years. Fiji -a part of the world where slightly larger women are thought of as beautiful.

the last pix posted are a heck better though i guess the haircolour doesnt help either.
as for tavares i dont see whey the brazillian press was fussing they shouldnt have used her in the 1st place coz i dont think she gained the weight the day b4 the show...there were fittings etc..
