okay -- i have a question. and i wonder if there's anyone here who can answer me.

i've just been browsing through the Eva pics on gettyimages and there are over 2000. she is just impossibly glamourous. like extraordinarily so. anyway, she's constantly being photographed with influential and powerful people within the fashion industry and she continues to land tons of magazine covers and quality editorial work as well as major campaigns (like her ONLY GIRL Louis Vuitton campaign right now).

sooooo... my question is thus: why on earth isn't she included in any of the models.com lists?? including the Top 15 ICONS list?!?! she should be in the top 5 of that, imo! and this isn't just because i'm a huge fan. any unbiased person with eyes should agree.

Well I dont think models.com is something very important... e.g. my favorite model Helena Christensen is totally ignored as well... as if she never existed... it is just funny! Even I really respect models like Karen Elson, etc they never make a real icon... look at their publicity and social interest... it is total 0 maybe +1 ... whereas models like Eva attract peoples interest and their work in fashion is highly valuable as well...

i completely agree! where is Helena Christensen on that site??? she was HUUUUGE back in the day, and still people are interested in her and her projects.

and same with Stephanie Seymour! i just don't get it.

i could understand if they had a policy where they only include models who are still working regularly -- but EVA especially IS!

Yes Stephanie Seymour! She is doing so great... POP, Numero covers... editorial in VF... ads...

Maybe Helena is not doing that great but again from time to time she has covers, recently DANKS, GQ. and ad campaigns... and social interest to her is quite high.

I think models.com is more favorite based portal... I am not even commenting on Eva who had absolutely amazing year with covers, ads, edits... what else is model supposed to do? she is just MEGA

whatever the say Supers are Supers! as much as I don't want to listen to non-professional singer singing crap...stupid movie without good acting and directing... i don't want to see models being unable to signify or deliver anything... I think supers always did it the best and that is why they deserve royal place in the modeling bussiness...and I am affraid even supermodel haters no it better than i do...

completely agree, KissMiss. just LOOK at her in that video from Venice ... or ANY of her appearances in Cannes. look at the way she works the red carpet and they way the photogs go mad for her. could Stam/Poly/Donaldson/Sasha whatever/etc deliver like that? HAHAA! imagine!

and thanks Tony, i just was looking through that thread myself. she looks incredibly glam, as per usual. though i wish they would've used a different pic for the cover. or at least added some more colour or something.

someone should tally all of Eva's covers for this year. i feel like she's had ALOT.
