Eva Pigford

^by model standards (which is what shes supposed to be)...yes I think she did look a little thick in that outfit

i dont see any thickness. not all models have extremely thin legs i guess

heres the summary from imdb. sounds kind of cliché to me...
Reginald "Cool" Coolidge is a struggling actor, fed up with taking stereotypical African American roles and waiting for his big break in a legitimate production. Until this time comes, he works at his mother's boyfriend's gas station to repay him for covering his college tuition. One day at the station, his ex-fiancée - and one true love - reappears at the pumps after 3 years of silence. Cool discovers that it is 36 hours until her wedding to a local lawyer. As Cool embarks on last-ditch attempts to win her back, he takes on the biggest "role" of his life while also learning the secret to mastering his craft.

I'm all for diversity. If you notice, some of the most celebrated models in this forum aren't stereotypical. In fact, a lot of people around here like models like Omahyra or whatever almost completely because they are different. Just because a person loves diversity doesn't mean they have to like someone simply because they are diverse.

Ooh, well-stated.

I am not a fan of Eva as a model. Personally I didn't think she took better pictures than the girl that came in second (I don't even remember her name, just that I thought she should have won for several reasons--though I wasn't a huge fan of any of the girls on that show, actually). I don't think Eva has a model presence, model looks, model anything. She seems very boyish in a non-interesting way. I am ALL FOR diversity. Liya Kebede is one of my very favorite models, and she is not a white OR emaciated--though she is tall--she is stunning and elegant, and beyond that, a great person outside of the fashion world.

I like that Eva has some meat on her bones, I am not a fan of the holocaust-survivor look (not mentioning any names but I can sure think of a few models I would stick here), I would even say that she is pretty in her own tomboyish way, she has a great sparkle to her eyes. But like it or not, there is a formula to a successful high fashion model, and honestly, Eva doesn't fulfill many of these "requirements" at all. I just don't think she is high-fashion model material, which is what she was being sold as. Obviously I'm not the only one that thinks this because as someone mentioned earlier, she's not doing any edits or runway--apparently no one in high fashion saw her as the "model type".

I say go for it if she tries to become a "celebrity" instead of a "model"--this seems like a more viable path for her. I guess we will see how her acting skills are.

I agree, Eva is probably never make it as a high-fashion model, and I'm pretty sure she's not even trying to do so. But I feel she could at least TRY to live up for her name. Her personality and prettiness makes for a great spokesmodel, and I'm sure her face would do well for certain urban fashion lines.

oh thats rather pretty (a little bright but she looks good) thanks for the pic FF

De nada. Got it off another site.

I wish they would stop shooting pics up her nostrils but eh, that's more the fault of the photographer than the model herself...
