Eye Lash Growth

For me castor oil worked really well.I don`t see anythiong wrong with giving it a try,it`s cheap and easy to aplly.Put it on right before you got to bed not during the day because it can be slightly irritating.
It's great that you used castor oil and then saw results. This doesn't mean that the castor oil actually did anything. You could've got the same results from something like sunflower oil or peanut oil. It could be that just using any oil was good enough to get the results you wanted. Based on the best evidence available, castor oil itself doesn't really do much.

I'm surprised that not applying mascaras will lengthen the lashes.

According to a Taiwanese programme that I watched, the adviser was saying that by massaging the lashes, it stimulates the growth of the lashes. Hence, lash conditioners like Talika stimulates lash growth partly through massage during application.

Maybe that`s true but I didn`t use sunflower oil or peanut oil so I can`t really recommend them.I don`t know if the castor oil worked just because it`s an oil but since this is the one I`ve used, this is the one I`m gona talk about.

I think Talika works...I bought one for my eyelashes and eyebrows. There is a huge difference in my eyebrow growth which I am soo excited cause it takes me months to grow eyebrow hair back in certain areas. Then with the eyelash growth when I put mascara on I've notice some little eyelash hairs growing next to my longer lashes so it seems to be working for me. Talika is expensive its like $30 but I think its worth it.

i had no idea you could make your eyelashes thicker and grow!! coool! i'll try the talika stuff! =)

^yeah and also my eyelash hairs doesnt fall out as much...when I first used Talika I was careless about the use so i didnt get the best results but now I use it twice a day and is getting better results.

But do products like Talika only help prevent eye lash loss?

In other words, do any products actually help create MORE lashes (as in quantity not quality)?

I'm glad I ran across this thread. My eyeslashes have been falling out lately and I realize it's because I stopped using a primer because it ran out. So now I will wear mascara only if I feel it's completely necessary and always wit primer. And I might possibly tey the Vaseline thing.

Another one with castor oil success. No harm in trying. It's cheap and it's not dangerous. If it doesn't help you then bad luck.

I tried castor oil(and by the way I found it really really really hard to find!) and I just got heaps in my eyes and it was really bad, I think I must have been putting too much on. how do you guys get it onto your eyelashes?
are those of you using lucas papaw ointment having any success with it?

I use castor oil and you used too much. That happened to me once. But now I use a cotton swab when applying and make sure not to over saturate the swab.

The new YSL Everlong mascara gives 20% longer lashes in three strokes, and has an ingriedent that grows lashes over time.

Also, there are a lot of spas now that do lash extensions. Individual false lashes are fused onto your own lashes. It last for a few months, when your normal lashes fall out. Its pricey though...like $250-$300

The best by far is Castor Oil. Beauty brains it really did increase my eyelash growth and made it thicker and darker. It wasnt like that efore but the result is kind of a slow process , around 2 months or one maximum beauty 3 months! I've used it since this feb and my elelashes are quite long and it def wasnt a natural growth

In Australian chemist mostly .. I'm not sure if it realy helps.. I suppose it does but castor oil IMO works better
