F/W 2011.12 Ad Campaigns #1 (please read post #1 before posting)

Raquel is amazing. sooooooo consistent and reliable to deliver. i love her! so much respect for her, as a model - because she's fearless. she'll do anything and she can inhabit the concept of any character and embody it and bring the photos to life.

with all of that being said, though, i do wish she were more of a "personality". it would be so nice to have our top models also be fascinating celebrities again.

I agree with everything you said except that. The last thing this world needs is more celebrities. ESPECIALLY stuck-up and bitchy supermodel celebrities.

yeah - i know where you're coming from, Squizree. but there's just something that i love about a DIVA. and women who are at the top of their game in whatever field, can have that power. it's something that men can't acquire. there's something about an empowered successful woman that is MORE than anything else. they just have ultimate control. and their personalities, no matter how brash or arrogant or bitchy or whatever -- i love them. haha. i'll take a diva like Naomi over a quiet ingenue anyday.

and i think the exasperation with "celebrities" is completely fair, because there are soooo many of them out there that don't seem to be famous for doing anything. but there's a difference between a celebrity and a star. i don't want basic celebrity models. what i mean is that superstar models. the ones that are genuinely interesting and relevant to pop culture.

Has Givenchy ever done separate campaign for accessories? Maybe this news is about main campaign...

In the July issue of Vogue Paris, Izabel must illustrate an editorial of the publication, photographed by Inez & Vinoodh, as well as the new campaign for fashion house Givenchy accessories to be released soon!

I don't like Izabel Goulart for Givenchy. Sure...I have no idea about her past work..I was just at her thread and can't see why she was choosen.

I'm not sure about Izabel for Givenchy either but then again, I wasn't sure about Adriana being part of their campaign and it turned out stellar, so we'll see.
