The Dior fall collection does not scream Karolina at all to be honest
Perverse FW11 campaign twist. Certain blue chip designers are booking girls who did NOT walk the runways this season. As in TOTALLY unseen.
the message states: "girls who didnt walk the runway THIS SEASON". so the word "TOTALLY UNSEEN" implies for THIS SEASON.
I see your point and I guess that it is up for interpretation, but when they tack it on at the end like it was done here, my interpretation was that it seems like they are trying to clarify that these are TOTALLY UNSEEN, i.e., new faces, plus casting Daria or Gisele is not be considered a "perverse FW11 campaign twist."the message states: "girls who didnt walk the runway THIS SEASON". so the word "TOTALLY UNSEEN" implies for THIS SEASON.
daria werbowy could be that model but that wouldn't be a big surprise. she only walked a few shows since her retirement in 2007 from the catwalk but consistently scored at least 4-5 campaigns each season.
other models who were unseen on the catwalk this season: giselle, julie steigner, damn so hard to name
wwd.comGWYNETH’S NEW GIG: From “Glee” cameos to penning a cookbook and launching a career in country music, Gwyneth Paltrow is clearly looking to cultivate a wider audience and her latest move fits that bill. Coach Inc. confirmed that Paltrow will also serve as a brand ambassador for the international campaign to mark its 70th anniversary this fall and next spring.
Shot by Peter Lindbergh on a Manhattan rooftop, the print, digital and outdoor ads will only be used for select markets in Asia and Europe, including France, Spain, the U.K., Portugal and China.
“I grew up in New York City and I’ve always thought of Coach as the quintessential New York brand,” Paltrow said. “I’ll never forget getting my first Coach bag.”
The images will break in international September books. Coach’s president and executive creative director Reed Krakoff called Paltrow, who in the past played model for Tod’s and Christian Dior, “a natural choice.…She embodies the spirit, energy and elegance of the Coach brand,” he said.
I know that there's no point to guess but for Prada maybe Josefien Rodermans since she was booked as excl., then dropped and didn't show up anywere. Well, we'll see who the lucky girl is..
