Fair / Pale Skin

Since I live in Florida, I get asked if I'm visiting from out of State all the time.(because I'm so fair)
I was born here.

natural pale looks 23918238172739126317986398 times better then fakenbake anyday!

I swear I am such a sore thumb on campus being so fair. Not because I'm like SO freakishly pale but everyone it seems goes to the tanning beds! Tisk Tisk!

depends on your eye color too
i am plannig on going light brown.

my eyes is like light brown/amber to like golden/olive (my left eye is darker then left)... it change shades for a lil bit:blink:... typical it is just light brown tho ^_^
i tried red (auburn) for a few times, but it look kinda old on me... so im thinking of like ash brown.......
(my cheek is rosy, btw)

yes you should go ash brown or a little lighter wouldnt look bad either i have never tried red but i dont think it would look good on me hazel eyes with red hair doesnt sound right.

Haha, definitely can relate to that! I think it's one reason why I'm insecure with my fairer skin, everyone in their teens/20's and teens right now seems obsessed with being ridiculously tan. Stay strong though -- soon those tanning bed fanatics will be getting creases near their eyes, and their skin will be uneven... their skin is already probably taking on a slight red tint. Am I right? The kids I knew who went to the tanning bed/beach all the time in high school all look about five years older than they should. It will catch up with them, and soon you'll be standing out with your fair skin for the right reasons. Trust me!

the tan look used to be more popular on my campus, now im starting to see all of the pale people! yae and some of them are even fairer than me but they would never look right with a fake bake, natural is so beautiful on them :)

i think before when the whole tan craze was really in, everyone expected you to look that way now i never get anyone saying anything negative about my fair skin! its great!

also people dont seem to notice how fair i am until they put their arm next to mine lol plus i have no air hair so there is nothing there to make it appear darker.

Uh, well, I have red hair and hazel eyes naturally so I don't think it sounds wrong! :p

well on me it does i wasnt talking about anybody else:flower:
cuz i generaly have a think eye brows and it wont match my color and face either

laisla - great list!

Does anyone here regularly wear a hat or carry an umbrella/parasol in the sun?

I do both and have always stood out because of it but recently I've noticed that more people at my uni are carrying umbrellas or wearing wide-brimmed hats to protect themselves.

I hate myself for being so silly, but I feel like people will think I'm a weirdo if I carry an umbrella! I did it once in high school and my friends made fun of me but I really should. Not being teased is totally not worth skin cancer :lol:

^^ hehe yeah, I understand. I'm not sure how old you are but I am a bit older (26) and I have just about ceased to care what people think of me!

I carry an umbrella with me when it's hot. I don't use it around my campus though cos it would look REALLY weird.. But when I'm walking to/from places I would use it.

^^I used to take an umbrella but they are pretty inconvenient and can nake you look like a little old lady. I prefer hats! I have a gorgeous Helen Kaminski sunhat I have been wearing all summer.

What other styles of hats keep the sun off?

A nice straw/floppy hat maybe? They don't really keep the sun out though.

I like looking like an old lady

I'm using Kiss Me Sunkiller SPF50 PA+++ Whitening Water. It's a Japanese sunscreen. I would like to try Anthelios next time.

Hi-
what do you think of the Japanese sunscreen, Kiss Me Sunkiller?
I was just reading reviews for Sofina Perfect UV (UV cut milk Extra Block) SPF 50 + PA +++ on makeupalley and thinking of trying it.

-Thanks
