I love when designers go for a dark twist on the fairytale theme (like what Scott posted in the very first post of this thread).

Fairies have lots of diferent interpretations, i like to see how sweet or dark they can be portrayed. on the sweeter side heres a beautiful dress made out of paper that can be worn and even custom made.

LOVELOVELOVELOVELOVE. I love this fairy tale trend whatnot. And the Vivienne Westwood + Melissa shoes are fan-freaking-tastic. I've been a fan of those for a while, too.

A bit of an odd request, but does anyone have any editorial (or otherwise) depictions of mermaids? I've been assigned one as a costume for a party on Thursday and really dislike the traditional tacky 'tail' common in fancy dress - hopefully there'll be some more imaginative interpretations somewhere in this thread...?

I recently finished making this video titled 'Listening In'.
I think it's very æstheticly minded, and fashion minded. A friend (who's a cloth designer) made the dress (although its so dark it's hard to really make it out)

The storyline is actually similar to a fairytale so...
