Thanks Softgrey! "can you please tell me who the editor was on that"-I was tired yesterday, so i forgot to name the editor-she is Marie Amélie Sauvé, as for the other members of the team, here they are- 'Fashion associate: Lindha Jacobsson. Fashion assistant: Vanessa Reid. Hair by Yannick d'Is for Management Artists. Makeup by Lisa Butler for Tim Howard Management. Model: Raquel Zimmermann '-it's only fair that i mention them, too...

Somebody mentioned earlier The Chronicles of Narnia, so I thought of posting these-images from the movie staring Tilda Swinton, the otherwordly muse of Viktor & Rolf and , recently, of Hussein Chalayan and Stefano Pilati as Lynn Hirschberg wrote in the article "White Mischieff", published in the NYTimes, 28 aug 2005-" Swinton is a generous, nonexclusive muse: she starred in a film by the designer Hussein Chalayan at the recent Venice Biennale and is devoted to Stefano Pilati, now at Yves Saint Laurent. "

( from yahoo movies)
Swinton's description of her character " ''The studio couldn't understand that someone evil would not have black hair,'' she said. ''They told me, 'She has to be beautiful.' I said: 'The witch will be beautiful; the key is no makeup. After all, she's the White Witch; her face should be bare.' And I think, eventually, they saw my point. She's very scary. I'm fully at peace with the idea that children who see this film will be backing away from me for the rest of my life.'' " ( from the NYTimes article) brought to my mind McQueen's a/w 04-05 show- very white skin and looks from a parallel universe

I like the polar bear sled. I'd have a sticker on the back that said "Power by Bear".

And I love the horns on this one, reminds me of a Jager bottle.

^Can somebody say,Alison Goldfrapp about the V&R. Looks to me they have another muse in her. It's very obvious to die-hards. Her fascination with deer(not to mention her big doe eyes),the big curly hair, her darkly,fairy-tale style....

Funny, posting about Tilda on here,Ank. I always see her as a sort of fairy-tale in reality and now is doing that film....great observation too in connecting the White Witch with that McQueen look.

Speaking of fairytales, I've noticed a lot of new models who have a very fairy tale-ish "enchanting" type of beauty..... ...kind of like Doutzen Kroes..... ...or Kim Noorda....

Yes! In the end, models are a fairy tale so they fit it perfectly. I've always felt that Kim Noorda was the modeling embodyment of Liv Tyler in Lord Of The Rings. With her lips and the eyes. When I see Kim, I can hear her talk elvish like Liv

As a kid I loved fairy tales. I read all kinds of fairytales, from Grimm, to Arabian Nights and from Disney to Andersen. I loved them all and the fact that we have a theme park nearby ( www.efteling.nl ;)) with an actually Fairy Tale Forest with gorgeous reproductions of classical fairy tales made that even stronger. My view on fairy tales changed in 1997 when I saw Star Wars Episode I. I loved it and now still the costumes I see there enchant me. Some examples:
