Fairy-tales

return to oz

:mowhawk: I love this movie! It scared the living hell out of me when I was a kid. I recently scored it on DVD, couldn't stop watching it for a while. I liked the dark and more accurate depiction of the story.

This is for you Travolta:flower: .

At the risk of being repetitive :unsure:, I will post more screencaps from "The Company of Wolves". Sorry, but I'm on a roll :D

Illustration of "Beauty and the Beast" by Anne Anderson circa 1935. In this one you can also see the influence of that era's fashion ;)

Oh yeah, Never Ending Story-how could I ever forget about it!One of the first movies I remember:heart:. I wasn't much interested in fashion back then- i payed more atention to Falkor than to the elegant Childlike Empress:blush:. Now that i think of her, I think she reminds me of some Chanel looks a few seasons ago. I'll try and find some pics.

thought i try to take us back to some actual FASHION...;)

:lol:

this seems very 'snow white'...

I'd love to see one based on the Lion , the Witch and the Wardrobe. Narnia without the ravers.

This one from Dior Haute Couture is very "wicked queen" ;)

When I was little I wanted to be (or at least have the wardrobe) of the Childlike Empress from The NeverEnding Story.
Me too! :heart: :flower: Loved the decor in her tower, the clothes and the headpiece. lol I remember scanning the credits and being so annoyed that she didn't have an interesting name that we could play make believe with, only "the childlike empress" which is sort of a mouthful if you're a kid. I read somewhere that the actress became a p*rn star? Really hope that's not true.:cry: hmm wait, or was that the actress who played Ozma in Return to Oz. hum

from the new york times-t: style magazine, the title read " Curiouser and Curiouser
Fall down the rabbit hole in prints fit for a mad tea party.
Photographs by Nathaniel Goldberg "- I'd call it Alice in Wonderland meets 60's French existensialist mod

Speaking of fairytales, I've noticed a lot of new models who have a very fairy tale-ish "enchanting" type of beauty..... ...kind of like Doutzen Kroes..... ...or Kim Noorda....
