^Agreed. The Grand Palais is definitely his creative playground. The experience/spaces he creates every season is worthy of its own documentary.
Also, I absolutely loved the Prada SS11 venue. Very clinical and modern. Looked like there was plenty of leg room, and everyone could watch the show comfortably.
I actually thought what Dior did with both the Grand Palais and Versaille, was pretty hideous. Those Prada images are amazing thank you. Personally I cannot get enough of Burberrys venues, I love their 'total burberry experience" attitude they have to the event. I also love it when you get some real up and coming designer who hasn't a penny and shows somewhere kind of seedy like when Gareth Pugh showed at the old truman brewery when he was in London. So authentic.
Wo, big big kudos for opening this thread!!
When watching Fashion shows I always like to analize the runway process . It's so interesting!
Dolce's old ones are legendary!!
I so love those settings and the whole performance they put on. Wish they went back to that.
(and I just realised I made a post about the runway instead of the venue actually .. )
Fashion shows in Sydney are almost always held in the Royal Hall of Industries - which isn't as spectacular as it sounds. It's actually really small and the ceiling isn't too high either.
