fashion specialist temp agencies

I wasn't able to find the information I was looking for with a search, so I'm beginning this thread.

In the major fashion cities, New York, London, etc., there are temp agencies that specialize in fashion-related work. But what if, say, you're looking for fashion-related work in Seattle or Seville or Nice or any other "minor" city. Are there specialist temp agencies in these cities, too? What are they? How do you find a fashion job, other than retail sales, outside the major fashion cities?

Most of the agencies in the larger cities also have listings in smaller cities. Because I'm not from NYC originally, I always get calls from them trying to get me to relocate. Furthermore, I've found in the U.S. that there are quite a bit of agencies that aren't in NYC, but located in other areas of the country and they always have jobs outside of NYC and LA. I don't know about other countries, how they work. As for the jobs, you can find things other than working on the sales floor, but those jobs aren't available in all locations. For example, Limited Brands and Abercrombie & Fitch have their design centers based in Columbus Ohio, Urban Outfitters and Anthropologie are based in Philadelphia, Eddie Bauer is based in Seattle, Gap is based in San Francisco, JCPenney is based in Dallas. I'd say it's perfectly fine to contact the big city agencies and see what they have around the country. Let me know if you'd like for me to post American agencies that have national jobs, and I'll post my recruiter list.

I would like you to post your list.

I live in UK, now, having moved here from New York, so your list won't help me as long as I'm here, (though I'll save if on the chance that I might have ot go back in a few years when my work permit runs out), but I had answered an enquiry on a jobsearch forum on another discussion website from someone in Boston with this question. I told her about the NY agencies I was aware of and that I would try to find some information on this forum, since she's not a member.

Since my city, Norwich, is one of those off-the-fashion-track cities in the UK, I thought I'd phrase the question so that it might draw answers relevant for folks in many non-fashion-center cities.

Your list may well prove useful to some in the US, and for taking the trouble, I give you karma.
