Favourite Collection Ever

^^ Ohh yes, I saw that third dress in real life... it was so spectacular. One of my fave Galliano collections

Maybe I'm a bit boring but I loved the Akris fall 2005 collection.

There were many great ones....but what I can remember now is...Louis Vuitton Spring 2006...simply AMAZING...something I love very much...many fun features...that made it different from other collection...

For me, it has to be the Undercover S/S 2004 'Languid' collection... where he presented the garments on twins.

The reason this collection is so important to me, is because of the amount of thought, the idea and the vision behind this...

The concept of this collection is to show two sides.. a bad side, with assymmetric lines and deconstruction.. and a good side, with clean lines and perfect cut.

Jun is truly a master of presenting visually strong collections.. and as crazy as some of his ideas may be, he is a genius.

The best part about this thread is that it takes away my assumption of the late nineties and the early 2000's aka "The Bling Era." There was some good stuff there. I liked the "Marchesa Casati" collection by Dior the best.

Now my favourite collection ever would be Gianfranco Ferre Spring Summer 2006.

This is hard...I have so many favourites, like Olivier Theyskens first debut for Rochas, most of Yohji Yamamoto, Undercover, Junya Watanabe, Comme des garcons, Ann Demeulemeester, Balenciaga, Helmut Lang, Raf Simons, Dior Homme, Martin Margiela... However, I have two that really stick out..

 Alexander Mcqueen FW 1999 "The shining" absolutely stunning, though Mcqueen have so many incredible shows, this is IT for me

Viktor & Rolf FW01 "The black widow" the pitch black content of the show was flawless, I only wish the runway was black...

Which was your favorite collection ever? :innocent:

Well, with no doubt my favorite was Gucci F/W 03.04, I love everything about it, the color, the casting, the shapes, the make up, the set, I like everything about this collection ...

Versace Fall 2006.

This hits every mark for me. It was dark, glossy, mysterious, sexy and almost predatory. The coats were cut and made to the very last bit of detail. The furs, the leathers and the shapes were utterly luxurious. And the gown were showstopping, to the point where I have to cry everytime I see them. Everything was sexy and classy.

Miu Miu Fall/Winter 2007

I love practically everything about this show, it's simply perfect for me. Clothes, a brilliant concept and execution, styling, venue, soundtrack, lightning, casting... Everything was so amazing, I've been obsessed with this collection ever since I saw it and still am, actually.

Relatively early in my obsession with fashion, I was presented with a verging-on-sinister collection shown in Paris for winter 2008. I had discovered Giambattista Valli previously and was intrigued by his seeming originality compared to the other houses showing at fashion week. I remember being nauseous with childish excitement waiting for to come home from college and see his new collection; I definately was not disappointed.
Through this collection I discovered experimentation with volume, cut and shape and found couture in ready to wear, I discovered Cristobal Balenciaga through this collection (remember, early in my fashion obsession), one of Valli's key influences, and I found his use of cut and simplicity to create originality, instead of embellishment - so many of these features influence me to this day.

Balmain Spring Summer 2009

This collection marked the beginning of the "Balmain-obsessed" period
But it truly deserves all the buzz and coverage it had,it was simply stunning!
The military embroidered jackets, the sexy cut-out dresses, the jewel sandals(they were pratically EVERYWHERE,just remember the Zara copy issue  )
Decarnin is a star now
