Fendi Baguette

i think the heavily beaded evening baguettes are worth having. they'd be more valuable when they've reached "vintage" age. highly collectible. but that simple white canvas and black leather trim is good to have too. quite versatile imo. not a fan of the FF monogram print though.

I Love them, not sure I would buy one now though :)
As for size, I never had a problem with them really, they were certainly big enough to hold a wallet, phone, balm etc (what more does a girl need! :D)

I would not buy one now.. there is so many othe bags that have my eye at the moment, so many bags, so little time! :D

more like so many bags, so small a budget!!! :ninja:

Although I do think it's a classic bag (or will be a classic), I never wear mine. I have the zucca monogram baguette and I'm just tired of it. I put it away in the closet last year, thinking that maybe I just need a break from it, but here we are, a year later, and I still don't care for it. I'm going to put it up on ebay.

They seemed to have gone out of style . I think the idea is great, but nothing that makes me gaga. I remember being gaga 5 years ago though, but couldn't afford one then.

Maybe a good designer can make a come back with them.

yay!!! I love my baguettes, the perfect size and shape purse. Fendi never stopped making them did they? I always would peek into the shop and check out the extravagant designs each winter.

i think the huge clutch is fierce, but impractical. and i hate the embroidery. will that even be produced? and why do they always have to put so much crap on their bags?

I really like the oversized clutches. But I agree with Ale, I don't know why they glob so much adornment on the bags.

full of fantasy, please credit your image or it will be deleted...

The bag that defined a generation of accessories is back at the relaunched Fendi flagship here.

The baguette, introduced by Silvia Venturini Fendi in 1997, was the "It" handbag that gave birth to more than 1,000 variations.

Now an anniversary, or 10+ version, has been released to celebrate more than a decade of the must-have arm candy and coincide with the reopening of Fendi last month after extensive renovations.

The 10+ bag was introduced this fall, a small white canvas bag accompanied by 10 indelible color markers. More of the bags, in a variety of colors, will follow this spring.

Ten artists and designers, including Venturini Fendi, the brand's accessories and men's wear designer and granddaughter of founders Adele and Edoardo Fendi, as well as Francesca Gabbiani, Jeff Koons and Will Cotton, have designed versions of the bag that will be auctioned to support Arts for NexGen, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art free youth membership program. The bags will be displayed at the 3,000-square-foot Rodeo Drive store from Feb. 13 until early April.
