It all becomes clear , M-O-M , if you read the full article on KL by Cathy Horyn from the NY Times from which you posted a section earlier in the week . :flower:

Oh, I had read it, kit. But it's not the first time I had heard of this soured relationship.

Grotesque. Bad, bad choices everywhere. Definitely lacking in taste.

Fendi's ready-to-wear is consistently repulsive, so I am not surprised. There is hardly any design to it. Everything's thrown together without due consideration. If I were in the audience, I would've thrown something at Karl Lagerfeld when he took the bow.... j/k But he's really messing up this brand. Wouldn't it be great if Fendi's ready-to-wear can at least be something like Bottega Veneta? BV's just had a terrible season as well, but their previous efforts were acceptable.

is this a joke???

Hey, maybe it is...if KL's really leaving Fendi, and the relationship was a bad as it sounds, this collection could well be just a farewell "f*** you" to his bosses. Because it sure looks like he used it as an excuse to indulge every tacky impulse he ever had.

And note that it's one of the VERY few photos of him where he's really smiling!

the only two coats i like form this collection, i love those colors, although they look very 70´s like and we all now he is at least a decade ahead from this season´s trends, i didn´t knew karl wasn´t getting along with the fendi sisters, with all the money he already haves i think is very ridiculous to still work for them, back to fashion, i suppose the most important part of this collection are accesories, and i have to agree with all of you...everything from this collection but those two furs look like something santa´s wife would wear to go skyng...

Actually, the whole collection seems to be fitted for those east-european ladies that come to Sweden to seek their fortune. You see quite alot of that in Stockholm. Perhaps he was inspired during his escapade with H&M.

 that could definitely be a bad sign...

i just saw the video on style.com, and oh my ... when you see the clothes in motion it's a different story than what you see in the photos, i think...they don't necessarily look any better, and i don't like them any more... but seeing the entire presentation just puts it in a different perspective. everyone who was interviewed seemed to love everything and, oddly, spoke nothing but positive words about it... ...

the only look i can say i actually borderline-on-liked was this on mariacarla:

but you could just as easily find a dress that looks similar for about $20 at target or a thrift store and dress it up with one of your grandmother's fur coats and achieve the same look, perhaps even looking better.

also, i'm still in complete shock that they played M.I.A. at this show.....
