Giorgio Armani F/W 06.07 Milan

Does he do anything different? He makes the same dresses and but with different fabrics. I'm so tired of this......Why don't he go for another theme or something because he's gottin super boring.

Hey, at least it's not knickers ;)

I agree, this is a mess as recent seasons have been ... Giorgio seems to have lost it.

I need to see more. But I wouldn't be suprised if it's the usual red-carpet-ready collection that he does most of the time  ...

Precisely. I mean someone should actually wear this stuff to the Oscars so that people will see what real class is about. However, he totally made everyone not buy his couture pieces because everyone else can buy the cheaper versions this way.

I don't dislike it, but do we EVER look to Armani for innovative, fresh collections? I don't look at Armani expecting Junya Watanabe. I expect something safe, not particularly fascinating, but nevertheless something wearable that, like it or not, can often be flattering (I'm thinking in particular of his mens suits... love them or hate them, they can be quite flattering.) So, it seems that we're descrying him for his lack of originality, but we do that every time Armani makes anything, as though we are expecting him to take wild chances with a collection. He doesn't and he won't. He has an established (HUGE) customer base expecting just the exact thing that he keeps putting out.

I just think his stuff is tired that's all......but what can I say you can't teach a old dog new tricks.

I've now officially given up on him, giving us creative and innovative collections.

me three..

yes, armani has a customer to keep happy, but at his age it'd be nice to try new things. how are these 'classics" anyway? i don't see asymmetrical hems and lapels serving that customer for a long time...

my suggestion is to clean up the cuts and lower the hemlines of his gowns..

;)
