Fendi Haute Couture F/W 2019.20 Rome

Those last few "haute fourrure" shows from Karl is all the Fendi couture I need. This is all an eyesore to me, and those dumb wigs don't help.

She could've at least decorated those ballgowns with protruding feathers..made of fur, of course.

this isn't the thread to discuss about it but I think the show is so...unnecessary.
Mica Argañaraz -the same model who did a campaign to protect elephants- opening this bloody show? I just can't with the hypocrisy.

We were so into Chanel .......

Speak for yourself, Mme Lagerfeld! :pink:

What a stunning ode to Karl's tenure though. I'm glad that it's not just gaudy furs from start to end. The framing, styling, all the hyperfeminine silhouettes and most of the looks. I'm oddly drawn to the sheer panelled dresses despite it being done to death by Valentino and Saab. Definitely one of the highlights for me so far.

Hmm...I want to like it, but there’s something a bit off about it. A few gorgeous looks (I LOVE the fur dress of Kaia), but others are maybe a bit too sweet?

A better cast might have helped...these girls are abysmal looking. They look miserable.

This is a glorious collection. Best of the season. Period. So beautifully made and executed. Karl would have been extremely proud. What he did at Fendi was building an amazing atelier that they can operate by themselves. (Look at their pre-collections.) Fendi as a house continues to impress me because Sylvia really understands the brand and the team. They are able to be luxurious, opulent yet fun and humorous in their designs and products. Then when they put up an HC collections, it's just a knockout. This is a wonderful tribute. The casting, the styling. Just fabulous. Brava!

Don’t know why I am getting a bit of Alexander McQueen vibes from this (maybe it’s from the motifs and their placement and etc) but in a very good way. This is a truly stunning collection!

A fun show, the nightwear is the kind of thing you don't see anymore, classy, understated and delicate. I like the softness of it and the way it sometimes takes a turn for the cheesy reminds me that glamour can also have a sense of humour.
