Fendi Menswear F/W 2024.25 Milan

not sure it needed all the skirts in there but it all looks super desirable

I liked it! some great pieces.
I loathe horsebit shoes but overall it was a win for me!

I'm not sure who the Fendi man is, if even such a thing exists, but I like to imagine that he's a man who's not interested in that whole men-in-skirts look.

Who designed this? The mixture of the good coats, ugly skirts, hideous footwear, and baggy trousers all remind me of Kim's recipe for success disaster, but it wasn't him at the end of the show.

Todd Snyder's latest collection looks more desirable tbh. Got the same vibes.

Overall this one is safe

Officially, Kim Jones is leading haute-couture, fur and womenswear and Silvia Venturini Fendi leads accessories and menswear.

Fendi menswear has always lacked of a sense of identity. The Fendi woman Karl and later Silvia established was always about that eccentric Roman bourgeoisie interested in Art and culture and the menswear was more a less a mix of good and bad pieces mixed together to create something. There were collections where it worked perfectly but most of the collections are just like this one: some very inventive ideas, some amazing techniques, some solid pieces but overall nothing that pops and that gives you a feeling of fashion.

Dolce and Gabbana with a collection of almost all B&W outfits and very commercial pieces, gave you a feeling of fashion.

Here, much like with the work of Kim Jones, we only see pieces that ready to fill the stores. The worst thing is that I’m not sure people would buy them.

I think Michele is needed at Fendi for both menswear and womenswear. But he needs Silvia by his side because she has that quality of looking forward!

I loved most of it (even, though it’s not my personal style at all).
it’s very Fendi and has Silvia written all over it.
for me, another clear proof - as if we needed one - that she could’ve carried Men’s and Women’s RTW on her own.

As much as this feels clumsy there is a lot of good pieces. But I agree with Lola who said that the Fendi man just does not have an identity, Though to be quite honest this feels more like Fendi boy than man... SS Daley and Todd Snyder showed in Florence a way of doing what Silvia attempted to do here, with so much expertise and ease. But it is an ok collection. Love the different texture, it makes you want to at least see the pieces in person. Does it make one, want to buy or wear them ? I am not so sure.

It feels as if a bunch of random clothes fell accidentally over the models; and then they just added some FF logos here and there.

There are some nice pieces here and there but overall is like a Sissified version of 1930s men's workwear on farms. The boxy coats ruin it for me. I think the best Fendi men's collection to date is from Fall 2004

Very much a fan of those earthy tones and how I am instantly reminded of the British brand Barbour, which is perhaps the sole reason why I'm able to appreciate the vast majority of looks here!

Far from perfect but I like it.

The problems are obvious: terrible styling, the stupid skirts, the shoes and the cast. The collection would look miles better with a cast of well build, more bulky men, with broad shoulders. These lanky twinks cannot carry the masculine elegance of it

Does Fendi menswear sell? There were some collections that I like but I never knew what to make of it much more have any impulse to go buy anything.
