This is stunning!!! Silvia cannot be replaced. If they do it has to be someone who shares her vision and she is the mentor to her replacement. That's the only way for it to work.

A lot of cute pieces but the casting kind of bring the whole thing down. Putting 15 y.o. looking girls in serious grown up silhouettes makes it look old and matronly. Putting the same girls in 80’s inspired dresses makes it look junior.

I really love the multicolor prints. With the furs and knitwear, it’s fabulous.

Silvia doesn’t need anybody, just a good team. Fendi has found again it identity: bourgeois and funky.

It’s polite, boutique-friendly as Pre-Collections should be, however I don‘t really see a distinctness and depth of design here that makes me want to sit up and give it more attention than I put into this comment.

Marco de Vincenzo used to work at Fendi and his work generally has that crafty, textured richness in the textiles that i would love to see here - You get a bit of that in the last two multicolored, sequinned looks but instead of the 80ies mini dress, I would have rather seen it in separates such as a pencil skirt or tux jacket to mix and match with knitwear or a neat black trouser.

He is still at Fendi I think. He is their head of bags and leather goods if I remember well.
Maybe indeed he should be there in full capacity undeed with Silvia.
It’s definitely weird to have him as a CD of Etro while still working for Fendi when he could totally express himself fully at Fendi.

Etro is owned by LVMH through L Catterton.
That’s probably how they made it work. More money for him indeed but judging by how good his Etro is, they should probably give him a more important position at Fendi instead of bringing any other stranger.

And maybe they can hire the ex-Missoni guy at Etro.
