I was talkin' bout the boys ;) I'm pretty sure they don't appreciate it either.

Some people think that dogs and cats, who've been domesticated for thousands of years, are a different case than animals like ferrets who are brought indoors and surgically "adapted" to be human companions.

The breed I have (Shetland Sheepdogs) were bred to be a shepherd's assistant. If they don't have human companionship, they become very lonely and unhappy and won't stop barking. One of the reasons why it's so cruel and wrong to kick these dogs out of the house.

A ferret without human companionship is probably like "whew!" ;)

Ferrets are so cute... I've always wanted one.. but they're illegal in CA (so are gerbils believe it or not.. )... but the weird thing is they sell Ferret supplies at my local pet store... go figure..

And I agree to whoever said PETS should NEVER be a trend... you should get a pet after a long and thoughtful process and figuring out if it will fit with your lifestyle... not because Paris is carrying one. I mean buying an ugly handbag because a celeb is carrying that same one is one thing... but buying an animal is another... with the ugly handbag only you (and maybe the people around you...) suffer.. but with animals.. whole 'nother story..

Chihuahuas were this big thing way back when and then everyone and their mother became a "Backyard breeder"... and thats how we get pet overpopulation  ....

sorry if I got carried away there.. I volunteer at the SPCA :(

whatever happened o her dogs?

The story was they got too big or something and now Tinkerbell lives with Paris' mom... not a bad way to retire actually... I'm sure she prefers the peace and quiet...

Is this "trend" based solely off Paris' appearance with a ferret?

^ I think so, I've never seen any other celeb show up with one in public....

I saw a girl on my bus today with a dog in her LV handbag...... I hate when people do that.... ANIMALS ARE NOT ACCESSORIES !!!poor dog!!!!

i dont think this accessory will catch on, i dont really see people spending time dressing up their "ferret" to match their outfit, and i cant really see someone looking cool while walking down the high street holding a ferret

I always liked it when Marc Singer carried around his ferrets in his manbag in The Beastmaster.. :D
