See I just saw his reluctance as him having his shutters up. Thought it was a clever performance.

Dakota was so good though. Definitely her breakout performance.

Jamie was the weak link in the movie. I finally understood why he went on an apology cum promoting tour of the film, it seems like he knew his performance was lacking and thought the movie would bomb. Everyone that I spoke with who has read the books, said his characterization of Christian did not match the novel(s).
