thank you from me, too, mullet!
she has a very special beauty and there's wit, too, something i never see in her sister's face. wonderful pictures:heart:
you're welcome.

and yes, i think she was far more alluring than catherine...and siblings comparisons are blasphemous. :ninja:

thank y'all so very much for this thread...I never started one as I assumed there weren't enough pictures out there of Francoise:(
I LOVE her in "The Young Girls of Rochefort" she is enchanting...see it if you can on the big screen...it does pop up from time to time in festivals and revival theatres.
Such a shame we never got to see her fully realised potential.

Here are two singing/dancing clips of Francoise & Catherine as Delphine & Solange in "The Young Girls of Rochefort" for those who haven't seen it:

^these are fantastic! thanks for that, orchide!. :woot:

I actually got all the pics from my first result on google :ninja: ...there are still many pictures left to post, you can check them out right here. :flower:
there are some good videos as well, from behind the scenes and photo shoots.

film clips

oh, i never realized that was her in la peau douce.

i just watched cul-de-sac. the neighbour i watched the film with said she was too beautiful for the film and the role she played in it. i kind of agree.

Francoise is one of my favourite actresses, she was so full of vitality and beauty, and yet apparently she was very insecure about the way she looked in comparison to Catherine. Although they were still very close. People always compared them as they were growing up, saying how Catherine was more pretty, which understandbly made their mother very angry.
And Francoise suffered greatly because of this, two quotes i found of hers are; How can i go out with this head" and "It is the photograph that is beautiful not me".
Very sad as i think she was stunning.
I love all the pictures Mullet, thanks for sharing them.

Thanks for the pics:flower: PollyM!:flower: I especially love the ones in the Japanese magazine. Wish they were bigger!

Thanks :flower: Melodyangel:flower: for your pics too! I never realised she was insecure, I always assumed Catherine was since Francoise was the more famous and accomplished actress of the two before she died.

^I know. it's sad that she thought of her that way, i think she was exceptionally pretty and definitely *compares again* more intriguing than her sister...although i couldnt tell if her face back then was considered as pretty as it is now..maybe the aesthetic was more different than i thought.
thanks for bringing that in, melody!.

polly, lovely pics!

Francoise has long been abandoned, which is an absolute crime!
Here's a pic of her with Jean-Paul Belmondo in The Man From Rio.
