Frye Boots

Hi girls! I want a pair of engineer boots. Where can i get them in Europe? I'm a US 8 and a half, eur 39, what size should i get?
TIA!

It really depends where in Europe you are - do you want to order online or instore? the Frye website usually has stockists up....

Picked up these Erin Workboots. Incredibly comfortable.

I love my Frye boots - I have a few pairs. The "campus" boots are their most classic imo.

Just got a pair of the Harness boots--OMFG they're sooooo comfortable!

I had a pair of the Veronica slouch boots and they gave me massive blisters despite thick socks. But the Harness ones fit sooooo good! I came really close to writing the brand off, but now I'm glad I didn't!

^^Maybe your veronica boots were just too big? I've never had a blister problem with them.

Are flat frye boots still cool? I feel like they were really popular here 5-6 years ago but I really need a pair of casual flat boots that can last a long time and not be too trendy. I live in miami so only wear them a few times a year so need to be able to wear them for a few seasons.

girls with the engineer boots - do you think they would hold up well against snow/heavy rain? i'm moving to nyc (from australia!) next year to study and i'm seeing photos of the blizzards and crazy snow in manhattan, and need some advice on stylish but practical boots for this weather!

Nah, I just have protruding, bony heels. The Veronicas didn't have as much space in the heels as the Harness do, so they rubbed a bunch. The Harness have a ridiculous but comfortable amount of space in the heel--their footbed cups your heel in a way that prevents it from rubbing on the back of the boot, unlike the Veronica--at least for me. Everybody has different feet.

^^I agree the Veronica's were more slender fitted. My engineers (similar look but clunkier) have more room, although in general I always size up 1/2 size with Frye. Their stuff is cut fitted I think.

I got the Sabrina lace-up 6G recently, and they are very comfortable. They have a 2.5" heel, but are very walkable and have a padded footbed and a wide toebox. No blisters in the heel, either.

I also got a pair of the Jacey huarache sandals. They are very comfortable, but the heel strap in back has stretched out a bit and now they tend to slide off at times. If I got this style again (and they are very comfortable), I think I would get the slide on version without the heel straps.

^^If you get these, I'd love to hear how they fit, Oiselet. I've also admired that style.

I got these huarachie wedges recently from Frye. I had to put some adhesive padding on the underside of the straps that go over the front of the foot. The stitching from the shoe hurt when I wore them. But once I put the padding on, the shoe has become very comfortable; even though it is a high wedge, the elevation of the heel compared to the toe is very moderate. I stood in these all day with no problems.

I am looking to replace a pair of tall (but not OTK) flat black boots in my wardrobe and I think Frye is what I want to replace them with because of the quality and classic styles they make. I want to make my purchase through piperlime.com because I have rewards I could use there. The two styles they carry that I like the best are the Paige tall riding boot in black, and the Melissa Button boot in black.

I prefer the sleekness and lack of hardware on the Paige, but the extra flap at the top looks like it might be weird and on the reviews, some customers thought they were too wide and gappy in the shaft (so that makes me think they won't look so sleek). The Melissa looks like it will be narrower and more flattering through the calf, but I am not sure about the buttons. I can't zoom in on them well enough to see them and I'm afraid they might look to "cowboyish" or something when I really want a sleek, elegant, but practical boot. Do any of you who have these boots have a preference or any input to help me decide? Do you think the paige is wide or sloppy visually in the shaft? TIA!:flower: In both styles I like the rounded toe shape.

Also, I love the cuffed paige from post #243 but piperlime deosn't have them and I have like $100 of rewards to use there. There is the Dorado though too. I was thinking I might not like the pointier toe of the Dorado, and the buckles might be too much ornamentation but now I'm having second thoughts since the buckles are pretty small. It is almost like that cuffed paige!

Idk... if you have any advice or opinions I'd love to hear it, but I think with my indecisiveness, I will have to try to find them at a store in person to look at.

Just ordered my first pair of FRYE boots.
I have been craving these like...thre years.
Finally today, I online shopped them.
They are Frye engineer boots.
I cannot wate them to arrive.
