My engineers are quite heavy as well. To be honest, I've had my engineers about a year and worn them intermittantly, sometimes with huge socks, sometimes without, and they are still not broken in yet. If I wear thick socks, it's really hard to squeeze my foot in through the ankle opening (hope this makes sense!). If they are squeezing your heel quite hard, it may be a fit issue. However, the leather on mine engineers (similar to the harness) is just so thick and stiff, it takes time to wear them in. Maybe take them to a cobbler and see if they recommend anything?
. i was wondering if anyone could help me figure out the style of them? i cant remember. they were a tan leather(felt kind of like a thin suede), kind of worn out and vintage, about a 3" stacked wood heel, rounded toe, and went up just under the knees. they had a very bohemian hippie look to them and i cant find them anywhere online. anyone know which ones im talking about?
