Frye Boots

Rag tag I just got those boots off revolve clothing!
I'm so excited I can't wait for them to arrive!

I ordered the size 8 and am normally a size 39, would you say that was right?
Thanks! :)

yeah, should be fine. I'm exactly the same, size 39 and I have the boots in 8. It also takes a while to break them in, so if they're a little too tight at first, they'll probably loosen.

^^ sasscam, i think you should be fine! i bought mine 1/2 a size too large (because i could get them 60% off :innocent::lol:) and while they're roomy in the toebox, they fit perfectly fine... no sliding around or chafing whatsoever. in fact i'd probably say that they're my most comfortable pair of boots. they might seem small when you first get them, due to the tightness of the fit around the ankle - but like katieo said, they do loosen up.

sorry for the delay.... i hope you love them! :flower:

I'd agree. I'm normally 8.5, and the 8s are perfect. stiff, but I hope to break them in over time :flower:

congrats, sasscam!

Thank so much for your help girls!!
I'm so excited!

so you guys think these are good winter boots? I am thinking about getting the veronica short boot for winter....

thanks for the info!
p.s. I live in MN, the land of snow and cold.

they are gorgeous, sturdy, comfortable and versatile...I love them. But I'm pretty sure they are not meant to withstand rain and snow.

I wanted to buy the veronica slouch boots...but ^you said they don't withstand rain and snow? also does anyone know if they actually slouch a bit with wear, or are they generally straight?

^ i agree... especially if the boots have a stacked wood heel. the wood can swell and crack. my engineer boots have a rubber sole, which hold up remarkably well - but i still wouldn't make a regular habit of using them in wet weather.

thank you lady stardust!:flower:

I had rubber soles attatched to mine. They've done fine in light rain, but the surface of the leather upper is quite susceptible to stains and such...At least mine are.
In any case, Fryes are not for heavy rain and snow.

Ohhh I adore Frye boots! I'm currently waiting on a pair of vintage Campus boots that are coming in the mail.

Not boots, but they're Fryes.

They're a bit tight in the toe area, but other than that, I love them.

I have those same frye peep-toe shoes, lady.stardust, and you've inspired me to wear them with a pair of deep gold tights I have.
