Game of Thrones

I did some googling (I cant get over Jon's death ) and the internet is filled with theories about Melisandre's god resurrecting the dead and how it isn't a coincidence that she's staying at the wall at the moment. Maybe she could help save him?

Also there was a blind item last night about Kit and how he doesn't have any other projects coming up and hinting that he may not be dead? At least I saw it this way.

Maybe I'm just too hopeful, if he comes back I'll watch again but not without him:heart:

(And yes, I get too emotional with tv shows)

I also think it will end up like this. Jon will die and then he will be ressurected by Melisandre. There is no other point to have her on the wall, at least I cannot think of anything else. It certainly is a better theory than Jon warging into ghost, that sounds too crazy for me eventhough Starks have the warging ability.
As for Kit saying he won't come back I think he isn't supposed to say anything else. That would ruin the cliffhanger. Now everyone is asking: is he dead, isn't he dead? I just can't imagine how they will hide Kit on the set for next season
Eventhough Jon is nowhere near my favourite characters I can't imagine GRRM to kill him completely off. He is one of the main heroes. I mean who would fight the White walkers if there is no Jon? Everyone else things they are no real threat. Or maybe white walkers will win and rule over Westeros one day  but I still think Jon first has to find out who his mother was before he will be completely gone.

I agree with everyone who is disappointed with Dorne. Sand snakes annoyed me the most this season (apart from Olly but that is another story ), I certainly imagined them like stronger characters, they seemed to me kind of lame on the show. I hope it will improve in the future, but I don't have high hopes. The death of Myrcella actually shocked me, I didn't see that coming. I mean what was Ellaria thinking? I know she wants revenge and hate Lannisters but she put Trystane in a difficult position. Jaime is not stupid he will figure out what happened, no?

Ok, those were my two cents :flower:

I refuse to believe this is the end of him... not after the past two episodes. What's the point of having this character and kill him? even if this is GoT after all. He could serve the story so much better alive, so I hope that the theories are true about Melisandre resurrecting him!

I have been thinking about all of this the past few days, and i can say that yes i keep on hoping on Melisandre.

On House of Cards, when Michael Kelly's character appear to be extremely injured at the season 2 finale, there was a cliffhanger of whether his character was dead or not. And on a interview he really didn't know what was going to happen to his character if he was going to be call back for shooting season 3 or not. (it turned out he did and Stamper lived but with a lot of recovery and stuff). When Kit said it was the end for Jon Snow in this interview it has scared me a lot, he could just say he didn't know or smth right?? :(
YET, i remember reading somewhere a few years ago, that Kit had signed a contract that didn't allowed him to cut his hair for as long as the show went on. And he hasn't cut his hair off. Could that be a sign that he'll make a comeback??? :magic::magic:

People have made so many theories, Jon had easily the biggest fanbase with Tyrion(i don't think Dany has such a big fanbase with all her stupid decisions:lol: ), they really really really refuse to let Jon die, GRR is aloud to kill every single character he wants, except Jon!:cry:

For Kit giving any ambiguous answer, it would spoil the magic (ha ha) of such ending, especially now since both book readers and viewers only are finally (sort of) left at the same point.

And he's also in Belfast again, according to THIS information. Just in starting time of filming S6.

But also, since he said Jon Snow is not returning - I'm personally hanging on to that detail, since there aer several possible outcomes/theories for his undeniably crucial character anyway, cutting his character off would be just too insubstantial...

I thought it was just me. the Sand Snakes were sooo 1-dimensional. What was the point?? The stupid slapping game. Really a waste of good characters from the book.

^Lol so true :D

I think that if he was to come back, he'd have to say he's dead, he couldn't admit that maybe he's not dead yet. You know, to throw people off and surprise them.
The only problem I have is that I read an interview with him and apparently he has already cut his hair. But maybe they allowed him to keep people speculating about whether he's really gone or not? ^_^

Anyways, here is the interview.

My thoughts: then why would Mel come back to Castle Black? She had that "oh crap" look when Stannis's men said he lost so many soldiers in the course of the night, sell swords who abandoned camp. She could've gone anywhere else, she seems pretty invincible. And re: Lady Stoneheart, i feel like it's a done deal. I really did want to see her show up as a cliffhanger, but I guess the showrunners really are sticking to their guns that she's not going to be in the tv series. But I dunno, guess we'll have to wait for season 6.

Thanks Istone!

The production value looks grand-- like LOTR grand. I hope the storytelling and pace moves along similar to Season 1 which remains the strongest, and no more soap opera sit-and-snark with the weaker Seasons.

Can't wait!

I'm nearly finished with A Storm of Swords and I'm starting to see where the books and series drift apart... but still can't wait for the next season!

This thread has been really lacking lately and the new season starts in less than two weeks...

So now I'm reading about the popular theory that Jon is a Targaryen, personally it's the first time I've heard of it but it kinda blew my mind :o

I'm so gonna read the books now

^ if you dare, go to the Watchers on the Wall website. There's all sorts of fan theories about this, and the theory is unofficially called R+L=J. Only by reading the books do you get the hints that lead to this theory. I suspect the coming new episodes may touch upon this, at least I get the impression when L was shown in "Home" for a brief moment.

With GoT coming to its end soon, all hope is not lost

Rumor has it that The Wheel of Time series will be coming to TV soon.

Oh and I made a thread for it to :D
