I absolutely adored him in A Very Long Engagement. He wasn't bad in Hannibal Rising, either. I can't wait until Paris, Je t'aime comes out on DVD in the states. Even though he's only in the movie for a few minutes, his part seems really sweet!! I saw his clip on youtube with no English subtitles, so I had no idea what he was saying. I just knew that he looked extremely HOT. Can anyone translate his clip? I think he says something about soul mates... He asks the American boy if he believes in soul mates or something...? I'm dying to know!

Anyway, there are also some sweet *** clips of our dear Gaspy on youtube; I'd post them, but I'm quite possibly the most illiterate person when it comes to computers.

I agree - I've seen Le Dernier Jour (The Last Day) and A Very Long Engagement and I thought he was excellent in both. He's got a very expressive face so he seems to work really well in parts where he's got to convey a lot of emotion and sensitivity in subtle ways through his expressions and mannerisms

Yes... he's just saying to the other guy that he felt like they were soul mates, like there was something about him and he felt compelled to talk to him and tell him... he writes his number down and gives it to him to call... meanwhile, the other guy just stares and says nothing... it's not until the end that you realize the other guy doesn't understand french

Thanks! Yeah, I found it kind of weird that the American boy didn't say a word to Gaspard while he was babbling on and on. Did he not know that Gaspard spoke some English? LOL.

Anyway, Gaspard makes me want to learn French. It's a beautiful language to begin with, but listening to Gaspard speak in French only makes the language sound sexier!!

By the way, did Karl Lagerfeld photograph Gaspard? I was looking through Gaspy's pages, and I saw a picture with Karl and Gaspard, and I was wondering if he actually shot Gaspard? If he did, can anyone provide pictures?!

Fliss, thank you for those pictures-- I've never seen them before! Yeesh, I think Gaspard is WAAAY out of Cecile's league. She looks so-- what's the word I'm looking for-- uh, OLD, compared to him. And I don't think she's that great looking. She must have a really nice personality or something.

The reason why she looks old is because, well, she is I think she is very pretty in her special kind of way.

OMG! Thank you so much for letting us know about "Le Marais" with English subtitles! I was dying to know what Gaspard was saying to the boy, and I had no idea a clip with subtitles was uploaded onto youtube. I loved Gaspard's clip, and I can't wait until the DVD comes out in the states.
