My classmate resembles him ALOT. A paler, watered-down version of Gaspard, but the resemblance is there. And even with that little resemblance, the effect is BAM.

I would post a picture of him here but idk if I should invade his privacy.

It's funny cos I always imagined Gaspard to have that uniqueness about him that not many men out there seem to have. It looks like a lot of people have seen or met guys that look like him! Lets hope he doesn't become a common face.

I don't think anyone looks exactly like him, but some boys possess that sharp, angular face. They all have a sort of passing resemblance. And a passing resemblance is enough for a BAM effect.

I really want to post the pic. of my classmate. I'll try find a good pic of him.

i'm in love:wub:

gaspard - it's good. yeah, for a young actor, it's a dream...i had the chance to work with an exceptional director.

interviewer - what do you say to people that want to see the movie?

gaspard - there's a discount on the movie seats!:lol: no i don't know [sorry, i didn't catch the last part, the sound sucks]

The Narrator- Gaspard Ulliel is the young, new leading man of french cinema. In 2003, when we walked the steps of the Cannes Film Festival for the movie les égarés next to Emannuelle Beart, nobody could imagine that his glance or his playfulness would charm many film goers especially female viewers and the biggest directors. Today, Gaspard debarks to Hollywood on a trail of blood while playing the role of the killer, Hannibal Lecter. And a role like that, forces him to be scared.

(red letters) Fear to make the film
I refused the role myself because I was too scared. In my mind, it was a big risk, to work in English and to take over a cinematic role and I didn't feel like I would measure up to Anthony Hopkin's performance, I had a lot of hesitation.

Narrator - The film shows how Hannibal had a traumatizing childhood and how, slowly, he becomes the incarnation of absolute evil. He goes avenging his little sister's death and goes with the mysterious Lady Murasaki, played by Gong Li.

(red letters) Fear of kissing Gong Li
I wasn't scared of kissing Gong Li, it was, moreover, quick to shoot. The director said, "Try to kiss her." (?) I didn't have the time to get scared and furthermore, cinematic kisses aren't that bad because I've already done a few..and to do it forcibly especially with Gong Li.

...continued...

(red letters) Fear of blood
Gaspard - Blood freaks me out in real life because it's an unpleasant sight..., but in the film, no, because the blood had a rasberry taste...for the film, the director made me go to a dissection class, to look at corpses...however, it made me a bit scared but he explained to me (the director) that specimens didn't have any blood.

Peter Webber (director) - He enjoyed it so much that he asked me to go back. That's when I started locking the bedroom door at that point.

Narrator - Gaspard filmed his first movie at 11 years old. At 14, a small role in "Le Pacte des Loups (The Brotherhood of the Wolf)" followed by "Embrassez qui vous voudrez" by Michel Blanc. He would go on to land a César [France's equivalent of an Oscar] for his role in "A Very Long Engagement" alongside Audrey Tautou.

(red letters) Fear of spoiling (wasting) his childhood
At 11 years old, I used to leave for a couple of weeks to work with adults...that side of having to adjust...when I went to school I would return to friends that were my own age...it [being on film sets] forced me to mature faster, but I don't think that it was a big step in my childhood, I just think that it makes you grow up quickly.

(red letters) Fear of fame
Today, that stays as something largely...[sorry, don't know what he said]. I imagine that I'm taking off to another level. [okay, did not catch the last bit, any French speaking people that understood it? I only caught something about destinations, a little island, sin?]

Sorry, I tried my best :flower: If I translated something wrong or if you speak better French, post the corrections s'il vous plaît!

 His hair in the first video is a-friggin-dorable! And see he's very playful and loves to joke so going back on that other interview...anyway, thank you so much phantas for the youtubes and the translations!
