Gerard Darel "must have" bag here in France

Sadly that tote has been sold out/discontinued since January. They had GD bags in 2006 - but they decided not to carry the line in 2007. I know this due to countless phone calls....

HOWEVER... Bergdorf Goodman's also decided to carry GD this past year and they still sell their bags. You have to call the store though and do a "charge/send" - but it's worth it!

Not very keen on the fringes myself. I can't get past them on the Pradas either, but that's just my taste. I love the original 24 hr in the various colours.

I like the looping around the top though, I'd like one with that but no fringe. Don't think they are doing that style yet, but I'd definitely get one if they did. Can't wait to see what they have in the shop when I go over next month! If I see the classic in the 'Skin' colour I will have to get it.

I'm not a big fan of fringe, but I like this bag. The more I look at it, the more I like it. I think the light color softens the look, so it doesn't look too Western. I can say that I like it a lot more than that fringed Prada monstrosity.

Thanks for that beauxgoris. I quite like the drawstring - obvious Ramona inspiration, but the size of the looping is much smaller and it's more subtle, to my mind, so I don't mind that so much. The classic is still my fav though. Should have another new one in a month! Can't believe I get so excited about bags

that's a cute bag. I bought the replica Jackie kennedy necklace from GD last year- the one that Gainsbourg wears in the adverts and the one that was cast from the original. I love it!
