Gerard Darel "must have" bag here in France

^ i have that, the metallic pewter. i've not worn it at all though.... i thought it'd be versatile but it doesn't really work with my wardrobe. can someone help me, i'm just wondering if this colour is seasonal or a staple? has anyone seen this colour in the stores lately? thanks!

i still love my marine (dark blue) and the white charlotte 24h

I've worn my 24h again for some days. If you don't want a logoscreaming purse but nice leather somewhat elegant, but casual at the same time this is it. The only thing that bothers me is the closure, cos the bag is still practically open and I'm paranoid about things falling out

Did we ever decide if this bag was a 48 hours or 72 hours?

I think it's a 72h as it's so huge, and the 48h I saw in stores seems smaller.

I think a 48 is a great everyday bag, but if you don't fill it a lot, I think it would an huge empty bag !!
In France, the 24 is the most seing bag, there're not that much 48 or 72. Which is a great thing because as 24 is seing everywhere, the 48 or 72 are more rare although there're still well-known because it's the same design as the 24.

I think the perfect size is the 36. My sister has one.
The 48 is a little bit too big for everyday.

Does anyone know how much the 'midnight-midday' in the regular leathers are? I have developed a bit of a lust for one! I really like the pale pink and the soft green one.

I have it and bought it 360 euros (regular size, regular leather) in France.

Here's a picture :

Hi,
I was looking for looong time for one bag in leather, that would be good for everyday use in school and resistent... today I saw a Darel 24h bag in a second hand shop, and I very like it! the color is like cream/grey/turquoise...
the price is about 140 euro...I've never bought a bag for more than 30 euro (h&m ) so I'm still asking myself if to buy or not!

what do you guys think??
I didn't know this brand until today, it's a good quality bag? would be resistent enough for everyday use??

thanks :flower:

I have a Darel 48h bag (a bigger size) for 3 years now (in black) and the quality is really good, it is not damaged at all (I use it very often).
Moreover, 140 euros is not expensive for a Darel bag!

140 is very good for a Darel. I have 3 24hrs and they have lasted brilliantly. The only mistake was that once a drop of olive oil got on my grey one which has left a small mark. If you look after it it will be good, I think a lot of it is down to how 'hard' you are on things! If it is just to have the bag I would unreservedly tell you to get it at 140. They are really classic bags. If it is for school mainly though, I would double check before you get it that it will take what you need. I don't find it great if I have to carry a lot of A4 sized docs around in it!

you're right it's not big enough for shool  gosh I'm SO uncertain... but thank you very much for your help!! :flower:

the only bit I dont like is the brand logo on the wallet the rest look incredible!
