Much thanks. I know I have one of the earlier look books but can't find it. Earliest one I can dig up is the FW 83. There is one model in there that always reminds me of Gia, but I know it is not.

Here's one from 1979. As I recall there are three from that season. That I have seen...Photo by Chris von Wangenheim, scanned by me.

You are too sweet....

No no no... What I was trying to do was see if I had some Gia that was not generally published since I have many of the look books and the majority of those were not run as magazine ads or editorials. For Versace, my run really starts heavy 89 - 2000, with a few of the look books from 83 - 87.

Oh...yeah...I wasn't even reading what you said, it seems. Time to go to bed  It would be great if one of those early look books would emerge :woot:

Wow. Talk about well deserved. Could you post the pix here?

No, unfortunatly not. They are the property of Sandy Linter and Harry King, who both post at HeartandSoul, and have specifically requested the pictures not be reposted.

The pictures are three HQ images from Harry King. One is of Gia in the white wifebeater smoking ( a common image, but never seen in HQ before), One of her looking straight at the camera in a red neck-scarf, and one of her sitting back in a chair in the red neck-scarf with full view of her legendary breasts :p

I cannot post the pictures here nor can ANY pictures from the heart and soul group be reposted anywhere. However, I REALLY recommend everyone in this thread subscribes to this Yahoo! group. It's amazing. The #1 spot for all things Gia :heart: The site also has a great picture of Gia giving Mickey Rouke a little love bite

On another note, Gia is always apparently features in the new Model as Muse book, out 2009! Looks like 2009 may be the year the world remembers Gia and comes to respect her for the wonder of the fashion industry she truly was.

Ah....that's wonderful news! Otherwise, as far as I have seen....the last recognition she got from CondeNast was, really, in 1986 just before her death when they ran a 1979 picture of her in an issue with Cindy C, looking like a healthy but soulless Gia, on the cover.

if she was not in MODEL AS MUSE than that book would be worthless.

they are compiling a book with all or most of Gia photographs!!!! I think Stephan Fried is doing this. If he didnt do it someone else would have eventually.

^ Great news. That book will be going straight on my bookself, even if it's like hundreds of dollars! Haha!

the entire fashion industry will buy it plus she is larger than fashion so a lot of people outside fashion too. I do hope most of her pictures are covered in the book. most of my friends who worked with her have sent their pictures.
