Giambattista Valli × 7 For All Mankind S/S 2015:Jing Wen by Oleg Covian

Denim mega brand Seven For All Mankind has announced a collaboration with Giambattista Valli for Spring, comprised of two deliveries slated for mid-February and May. The collaboration includes high-waisted skinny jeans and t-shirts in animal prints and bright colors. Plus, the pieces will all be made in Italy from Italian fabrics. Chic!

Seven For All Mankind has partnered with designers before like Zac Posen and Emilio Pucci. The new collab with Valli, which will retail for $350 to $650, is a nice follow-up to Valli’s Giamba debut, which included some denim pieces. While Giamba’s lower price point opened up Valli’s designs to a younger clientele, now the masses can be treated to his talents.

The first delivery will include seven high-waisted skinny jeans in seven shades of red and pink in a matte coating as well as animal prints; also expect a mini dress, a sleeveless top, a flared top, shorts and a jacket. The second delivery will include skinny jeans in seven different shades of blue, a group of fluorescent neon hues that have been partially bleached to pastel, and white lace denim. For those looking for some high-waisted flared jeans, as seen all over the Spring runways, this second delivery will have you covered. Delivery deux will also include a playsuit, a bomber, and a peplum top. Next year, Giambattista Valli will be celebrating 10 years in the fashion business.

Is the black model Leila Nda? I think the white model is Linn Arvidsson.

Finally figured out what's bothering me, it's the setting. A simple backdrop would've sufficed.

“I used jeans as a raw material on which I projected my idea of a woman”. Giambattista Valli has just given the finishing touch to the capsule collection created for the Californian brand 7 For All Mankind. There are two messages that Valli entrusted to the collection. One: there is a GBV style – “timeless, ageless, effortless”, the designer explains – applicable to everything. Two: there is an alternative denim couture based on the marriage between tailored treatment, perfect fit and contemporary mood. A philosophy that takes form in flared and slim tops, mini-dresses, skinny and flare pants, jackets with kimono sleeves. And that explores a chromatic range that goes beyond blue. “I have always been inspired by real women. When I am designing, I think of them”.

Nice pictures. The colors scheme with pink, orange and red is really beautiful, and the triangular composition is cool :)

Jing makes this campaign for me.
