there's some amazing gowns (like the black and gold in #1 and the third to last which is my favourite look from the collection) and a lot of frumpiness going on here, it's confusing. i overall love the witchy mood and no one would've been better than kristen to open/close.
Very hauntingly beautiful and graphic. The lace cut-outs are stunning-- even if there's a messy/tacky feel with the dangling feathers, which I have a feeling is deliberate to enforce a tasteless vibe to all the refinery. Reminds me so much of Gaultier's "ghost" collection with all the dogs, and also complimentary to Hedi's YSL debut collection. Very well done. And yeah-- nobody pulls the crone/siren attitude off quite like Kristen.
The fringy pieces as well as the print looks in 26 through 28 are my least favourite, but I do love the high necked, narrowly cut, long gowns with those billowing sleeves; they're quite wicked. I absolutely love that midi length black dress with the satin top - look #34. And yes: nobody could've opened and closed this show more effectively than Kristen, in white and then black: good and evil, innocence and experience, ghostly and wicked - whatever connotations you derive. She's the best!
