For most of my life I have relied on ginger to control a host of physical ailments. For those not familiar with this incredible root, here's a crash course: http://gingerpeople.com/health_page.html

I enjoy ginger in several forms:

Crystalized ginger
Homemade ginger tea
Ginger Soother drink (from the Ginger People)
Ginger candy

Any other ginger fans? :flower:

Well.. when I was pregnant and attended a "labor info" session the midwife recommended that when the labor pains arrived to wrap the stomach in a washcloth filled with ginger, in order to sooth the cramps.. I never got around to making that.. but since she was an official hospital midwife and even handed out the receipy.. I guess she really meant that it worked..

I drink ginger tea for my stomach. When I had food poisoning, it was the only thing I could keep down, including water.

Ginger really is amazing. I use it to calm my stomach all the time - it's the only thing that works. I hate taking medicine so having an all-natural substitute is a must for me.

anyone who has tried ginger tea, what does it taste like?

I make my own ginger tea but cutting fresh ginger root and steeping it in hot water for about 20 minutes. I also add honey. The flavor is spicy and very warming. I'm also a fan of Ginger Soothers: http://gingerpeople.com/order_soother.html I actually went to Whole Foods last week and bought every single one they had

You can buy ginger tea bags from a lot of different brands (Twinings, Tazo, etc.). Do you have a Whole Foods in your area? If so, they should have the tea bags and the Ginger Soother. Personally, I prefer the flavor of homemade ginger tea. But bags are great if you're on the go :flower:

 I love ginger too! I drink it as a tea when I'm feeling nausea or when I feel a cold coming on.

I get mine at the Chinese grocery store in town. Honestly, I don't like the taste that much, but it's like a miracle cure for a lot of stuff so I just deal with it.

I love the flavor of ginger! I don't think I've ever met a form of ginger I didn't love :p

I almost forgot: Ginger Altoids are great!

I LOVE ginger!!! Especially crytallised ginger. I also steam chicken with ginger slices with a splash of sesame oil for meals. It's great!
