Giorgio Armani F/W 12.13 : Aymeline Valade & Simon Nessman by Mert & Marcus

Very happy for Aymeline :woot: but it looks quite like an editorial... and the second shot reminds me of Raquel's armani campaign! I guess the male model will be Simon again.

I was hioping for Coco Rocha.
I think last season was much better, this season sounds pretty boring.
Even tho Aymeline and Simon look great.

Aymeline looks like Angelina Jolie here. Especially the one where we can't see her face reminds me a lot of a certain picture of Jolie. It's rather boring for an Armani campaign, no? They are usually among my favorite campaigns every season but this isn't that great, which is weird because for once the clothes are actually decent. I prefer the menswear shots, they have more life to them.

The sound of the campaign is definitely more exciting than the outcome. I can't pinpoint what's bothering me here but these images definitely lack something, which is disappointing because Armani's campaigns are usually amazing no matter how boring the collection is.

For some reason I can only see the first image.

The combination of those orange colors and Aymeline makes for a very off putting image.

Armani Goes B&W for Fall Ads
By Luisa Zargani
FREEZE FRAME: After three years of color campaigns, Giorgio Armani is returning to mainly black and white ads to promote his fall collections.
Lensed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, the images highlight the refined tailoring of the collection, which the designer dubbed “Easy Chic,” and its strong men’s wear current.

Models Aymeline Valade and Simon Nessman are featured in poses evoking a “sense of timeless elegance,” according to the company.

The campaign is slated to bow globally in July issues of fashion and lifestyle magazines.

Yeah the black and white images are better. I think it will look more like a campaign when the logo is printed on the ad...

I like the coloured shot the most.

Armani ads are usually very simple, but always very classy and this is no different. The colour shot looks well out of place, but the B&W shots are very nice. Armani ads never fail to the showcase the clothes to their best effect.

Indeed elegant, both Aymeline and Simon does chic effortlessly. Happy Simon is back and very nice casting of Aymeline.
