Giorgio Armani Menswear F/W 2025.26 Milan

Although I agree with the Armani principle that you need to be appropriately and well dressed in every situation, even when exploring Antarctica, I would burn those twelve Roald Amundsen looks, and keep the rest, which is a beautiful, relaxed companion to the more opulent Emporio from two days ago.

LOL Roald Amundsen anytime anyway anywhere to any celeb influencer.

Armani is one of, if not the one, who’s revolutionized the way modern fashion is dreamed of and consumed of, more than any other designer, as far as I'm concerned. So the respect for him will always be there when looking at his archive. But just like Ralph Lauren, his current-day offerings are just more clothes that are no different than clothes from his previous collections from a year, 3 years, 5 years, 7 years, 10 years ago... It’s the epitome of same old same old: For A/W, cozy, chunky knits and even cozier and chunkier suitings, with the prerequisite velvets, all warmly tucked into hiking footwear. And for S/S, shiny silks and unconstructed loosey-goosey linen suitings worn with loafers. Rinse and repeat. Some nice separates as always but also kind of old and dusty as always. More importantly, he brand is in such desperate need of the eye of a master like Herb Ritts/Aldo Fallai/Peter Lindbergh to bring back the art of fashion imagery and a strong stylist to refresh the silhouette for designs that are, a tad long in the tooth by now. The modern campaigns have been, at best— highend department-store catalogue shoots.

Nice looking cast, as always of course..

113 looks...oh Giorgio, have some mercy, please!! It feels like he presented the main line collection as Emporio; and the second line collection as the main line by mistake. Emporio looks way better than this!

This collection was a bit autopilot compared to S/S and the leopard prints of the excellent Emporio show. Apart from the one weird leather jacket, nothing objectionable, obviously luxurious. And going to my local boutique, I think I understand the target clientele and styling. It skews wealthy, mid 40s to 60s, and conservatively dressed. They will not be interested in the Emporio stuff.

Please for the love of god can we NOT bring “back” the tucking in of the pants in boots?? Also wtf was look 42-53? Again, some beautiful separates/looks but as a whole I’m exhausted.

Does this brand or Emporio work with stylists for the shows? or all is managed in-house?

No known stylist, casting director or set designer, all in-house, the Roberta I believe.
It shows.
