I've picked up the medium black with silver handle one at Barney's twice and I really love the shape, but what's the deal with the super thick longer strap with the outer zipper thing? What's it for? Clearly, I'm a Nightingale novice.

^the zipper is pretty much decoration but the strap is actually the shoulder-carrying strap.

well, that part of what gives the 'gale its moxi and distinct look. it almost has a S&M vibe to it......B) i LOVE my maxi in black patent.

what is with the matte patches? i wont mention the skinny handle... my washed patent maxi does not look splotchy..........B)maybe this is a bad prototype...................

I'm not liking the FW styles at all. Really makes me wish I hadn't maxed out my credit cards so early in the year...none left for a Nightingale just yet.

To every lucky girl that has one - appreciate it, because you have great taste in bags and the $$$ to back it up.

Hopefully, in a month, when I get more $$$, there will still be one left for me.

so many givenchy nightingales in ebay right now.....is there a sale I dont know about? Are these all real? They are all so below retail......very tempted

most are fake!!! the others i am not sure about are only bc i cant see details. ie inside, hardware, closeup of leather.etc....

That is just sad & revolting.....I can't believe even GIVENCHY's are being faked nowadays! Over the last two weeks or so I noticed soooo many Givenchy Nightingales on ebay, most of which are listed as New Without Tags -- I went on ioffer to do a mini-investigation and there we go, the Nightingale's are all on there So I guess that's where most of the fake ebay nightingales must have come from. There definitely were one or two real Nightingales sold on ebay recently (I remember one distinctly, the seller posted a ton of photos showing every single detail, and they checked out), but sadly the majority were fake.

I really really want a Maxi Nightingale and came across this auction today:

My 6th sense is telling me it's fake -- just did a research on this seller on goofbay ( http://www.goofbay.co.uk/getSellerLists.html?seller=2earthangels06&Submit=Check )....and apparently he/she has sold numerous new Givenchy Nightingales in black patent before for super low prices, as well as other hot bags (for low prices).....NOT a good sign. I wish I could be convinced otherwise.

the black patent one u asked about last week was fake. this one has no pix of hardware or leather closeups....not a good sign....
