A little (lot) late but I think its a very very good collection. I dont know if it's by Tisci or the house team. I love the photography, it channels the 60's subtlely.

Exquisite. I think this is the closest to perfection a collection has ever come, IMO.

I suspect this is house team work. They seem to have taken a lot of cues from Pilati at YSL, with some 60s thrown in. Some nice looks, but not terribly distinctive, imo. Love those suits though...

Thanks for posting, Diorling!

well done

General speaking, I like it, agree abt very 60s and lotsa ref. from Pilati or even Nicolas' Balenciaga. However, it's a very smart, clever collection, whoever does these collections (f/w 05 & s/s 06), lotsa beautiful stuffs, which is basically what people want this days. I wish they are done by Riccardo Tisci, cos, if so, that means Givenchy is in good hands. Totally better than Galliano Dior. Thanks Diorling!

This is indeed made by the design team... Tisci started designing the collection from the pre-S/S 2006 collection on, I never thought the design team would do such a good job on this collection, though. It´s really surprisingly good! My first impression aside Pilati at YSL was Véronique Branquinho, though, it certainly has something dark and sober about it that fits with her style, too.

I simply ADORE the following:

2nd post, 3rd row, 1st picture; the blue coat with ruffles
3nd post, 1st row, 1st picture; the short skintight double-breasted jacket with shiny wide leg pants

it´s a nice collection, i liked the pants, that blue fur jacket and some details... the pictures though look too 60`s, like if it was done on the 60`s, and thats one of the fashion decades i like the less, so to me its probably lacking on modernity..... but it think the worst part of the collection are the accesories, pics availables at www.givenchy.com, from all the women lines at givenchy.com i`ll preffer the couture.

I feel like they took a lot of what Julien Macdonald tried to do but executed it FAR better. Could you imagine working under him knowing you could do such a better job (which they obviously could)? I think that Ricardo Tisci will put ther talents to good use.
