First the flop RTW show, then people having no clue on couture revival, then this campaign with no relevant accessory on display...I'm gonna laugh so hard 3 years from now when Delphine will have to justify the nosense decision of appointing Sarah after yet another creative direction leading to brand underperforming

I am a huge fan of Burton. I like the collection. But I must say this throw me a bit. Kaia?!!! I don’t have anything against that girl but she just doesn’t fit in Givenchy and she is not a good model. She is… I don’t want to sound rude… but Kendall is better, let’s just leave at that.

Her first show was enough already with, in order:
- First look: fishnet bodysuit with an oversized GIVENCHY PARIS logo plastered on it
- A bunch of Alaia copycat of bodycon fishnet dresses
- Latex Givenchy logo ankle booties
- Sloppy tailoring
- Cringe looks (the compact powder applique dress)
- The final gown that looked a reject from a Giambattista Valli tulle's overload collection

Stop trying to make Sarah happen. Her biggest skill was the impeccable sharp tailoring and the tweaking of the conventional suit and she failed miserably in translating these skills into her Givenchy vision. If Clare gave us Zara with her Givenchy debut, Sarah gave us Shein version of Alaia and Valli.

I get that they wanna have that Audrey moment or the modern twist of Audrey moment when they choose this rather conceptual idea with Kaia, which could be an interesting one. But the whole excution so far has been rather flat. Kaia by herself looks far more convincing for me. But I'll wait for the official images, I still have faith in Sarah.

MW vision had somehow more sense than this: started as a mix of Demna x Riccardo streetwear and then switched towards Tom Fordism x Carine...

You don't do things like this when trying to revive a stale brand. Sarah seems to be a nice woman, but she is a really weak creative director.
Just choose interesting looks and book a good photographer. No need to be so pretentious.
