Lace mosaics and ruffles in a single Givenchy pre-fall dress.

That skirt reminds me of Balenciaga S/S 13, which reminded me of the Lanvin ruffles.

What do you guys want? Riccardo used the same ruffles for his s/s 13 collection and I doubt that he changed the whole collection within a few days after seeing Nicolas'. Sometimes people actually have the same idea at the same time.

Other than that this looks rather uninteresting.

Oh yes, Balenciaga ripoff and the rack behind her doesn't make me excited.

Riccardo Tisci framed his collection with references from the Italy of his youth in the Seventies, specifically the work of designer Walter Albini and Milanese architect Giò Ponti. The former was evident in the pronounced masculinity of the look, underscored by sturdy flat shoes, while the latter could be seen in the graphic mosaic patterns that Tisci used on a patchwork lace top and matching pants and a mink jacket done in black, light brown and white.

All the while, Tisci connected the dots between the seductive sophistication of the neoclassic ruffles from his most recent runway collections and the classics he’s built into the Givenchy vocabulary — i.e., printed sweatshirts, which included the best-selling American Dream style from his men’s collection, and showing skirts over pants. The flat shoes proved one of this lineup’s strongest statements, with styles ranging from chain-link athletic sandals to ankle boots with wood and metal details on the heels. There was also a new handbag, the HDG (House de Givenchy), a small, structured top-handle bag.

I never like their pre-fall/resort colections and Im getting sick of those printed shirts, its getting quite lazy.

At first I thought "f*** the cowprint, the geometric patterns are good" then he lost me with the ruffles which lbr they don't make as much sense here but the last 3 looks won me back again. So I guess the keyphrase is "hit or miss".

cow print ??? hell noooo. and this jacket in fur from s/s 2012 (6th look) is eeewh... yes there is some beautiful pieces, but whole collections is just no.. !

There's not a single item that I like! Pre-Fall has never been this bad.

A bit of a snooze fest, thank goodness it's only Pre-Fall.

this just feels so lazy
its not even really bad as much as it is a rehash of things the brands been doing for a while even the looks that are acceptable are things we knew they did well
i dont really understand the point of continuing pre fall for givenchy it progresses nothing for the label and im sure tisci has no major hand in designing this

Horrible. It's like Riccardo doesn't even try with pre collections lately, it always feel like a bunch of ugly and uninspired stuff thrown in together with poor styling.

Rehshing old prints, designs and ideas is not design..... It looks like the team threw the last 6 collections in a shredder and patchwork it together.

NOT GOOD.

P.S Bored of shooting it outside. think of something else.

the most heinous pre fall collection from Givenchy, cow prints really??
