Givenchy Pre-Fall 2024 Paris

Its probably his best collection. The calf socks are awful. The mens stuff is pretty bad. I otherwise find a bunch of great luxury clothes. It is closer to Givenchy heritage…just needs to be a little trendier.

That orange mini skirt jacket set with the feather bag and flats is the look Giv should be going for.

The irony for a menswear designer that the worst part of the collection is the menswear…
Funny thing is that when Alyx started off nine years ago, it was a womenswear brand. The menswear is recent, but led to the brand blowing in streetwear circles.

That success changed Alyx's brand strategy to take advantage of that market, but it led to the neglect and decline of the womenswear. His failure at Givenchy didn't help either.

Today, Alyx doesn't even put womenswear on the runway anymore: AW23 was a men's show and a women's lookbook and SS24 was men's only.
