The site says S/S 06, but maybe they mean Cruise, Resort or something similar. It cant be, unless this is the house team's collection and they're gonna show Tisci's in October.

Its not as strong as the F/W 05 collection but I like it sooo much.

I think it is a Tisci designed resort collectiom but not sure. Who ever designed it, it looks great!

Thanks for the pictures, lots to take in, I'll have to come back. I think it's one of those "okay, nice collection" but who's going to remember it.

I do like one or two of the grey pieces, like the shirtdress.

That one pair of trousers looks horrible going all the way to the floor...

This looks very Tisci to me, so I'll assume that he had a hand in it; the pleating and draping, plus the high necklines, seem to be a signature thing for him. I'm liking this much better than his couture effort. I think Tisci's own collections, while beautiful, have had a heavy-handedness to them which also marred the HC show; this, on the other hand, has a refreshing ease. Not too pretty, not too severe...it's very "now," isn't it?

beautiful, i saw these pics in the morgane dubled thead, pretty clothes, pretty model. It does seem odd it says spring 2006 considering its only august

I like it a lot. Indeed quite Tisci, so I guess it is done by him. I like the dark blue pieces best, very gogeous. And Morgane looks great as always!

If you look at the news section of their site it says "Women's Spring / Summer 2006 Collection, designed by Riccarco Tisci" :flower:

I agree with Droogist that it's very contemporary, very now. Quite a lot ensembles from #3 are very wearable. I'm satisfied ^_^

Ah... it's very, very nice (aside from the last Bermuda-shorts ensemble in post #2... incidentally, that's the one which screams 'Resort!'...).

"Very clean and severe, with a touch of romance" is how he described these Givenchy looks — and his own fashion sensibility.
Tisci's pre-spring collection for Givenchy, being shown to buyers here this week, certainly suggests an edgier, slightly darker and unapologetically modern mood. Mostly in black, with butter and sage tones for relief, the collection leans to minimal sportswear with unusual details. Key looks include jersey dresses with transformable necklines; lean pants, occasionally with built-in corsets, and soft jackets with zippered lapels revealing a ruff — a wink to Givenchy's famous "rose" jacket.
I believe this is by Tisci. Love it. It's regal, noble, classy, detail-oriented, chic, chic, chic, better Bermuda than Chloe's, most importantly, I see Modernity. Givenchy is in good hands.

i actually just sicked up a little bit into the back of mouth....

Wow! Such great design, I'm glad to see that Tisci is finally trying to build an identity for the brand!:woot:

I have had an appointment in Paris for the Marc by Marc Jacobs footwear and they also had the Givenchy shoes collections in there. I recoginze some of the styles in those shots, so I´m 100% sure this is Tisci´s first RTW collection for Givenchy - as already confirmed. I just remember how the sales person was telling me about the collection and which styles in particular were supervised by Tisci (only like 4-5 styles were done with him, the rest were designed by a design consultant).

It´s so funny to see that we can compare F/W 2005 and Pre-S/S 2006, given the fact that we have threads up for both. Sadly, I must say thought that the design team did much better than him, in my opinion at least. The clothes I see here are just *nice*, but not striking.

The first skirtsuit posted is a particular example of a boring, upscale design that could be everybody´s. So are the variations with trousers and cropped jackets, I think Alber Elbaz´s relaxed and Olivier Theyskens´strictly tailored designs are much more particular, just to name the most obvious competitors in the french couture biz.

there are some gorgeous pieces, and I love the cream, white and grey. Very nice, also love the draping effect.

Ooooh... I really like it! Wearable indeed. Thanks for sharing Diorling :flower:
