The frayed embroideries with hanging threads are interesting; but the shape is not flattering at all. Looks like an amorphous mass of fabric.

A fitted shape would be better, just putting all the focus on the fabric...so the wearer does not look drown by it.

I loved that coat!
Maybe Cynthia is a bit too small for that.
She is almost disappearing in so much fabrics but that’s what happens when you wear the sample.

The same coat on Cate Blanchett or someone taller would have reached it full potential.

It's good but let's be honest, that looks like a design coming straight from Clare's couture collection.
So far, her and Pierpaolo's are the worst recent debuts.

pleasantly taken aback by this piece on the runway, along with the red variant on Lina Zhang. There's something promising here. I hope moving to a new house is doing her some good, like she feels emboldened to finally unearth her personal taste, the sense of duty/ legacy keeping at McQueen was certainly dreadful and weighing her down.
My cut on her still is great tailoring yet poor sense of detail / ornamentation. Something is never fluid.
