Glória Coelho tends to do similar collections, always reinventing her own designs. Which doesn't prevent me from liking it. A lot. She gets a lot of inspiration from rock-chic (this time, Franz Ferdinand, my all time favorite band) in black, white, blue, green and grey.
There was a very strong Marie-Antoinette feeling (although the release said Edward Prince of Wales, the Prince we always forget) from the soundtrack (New Order) to the Louis XV shoes with ribbons (garnments?). A lot of frolics, and laces, a very strong feminine show. There were sweaters, cotton, velvet, chiffon, taffeta, tulle, wool, silk and even swarovski crystals. Very royalty.
There were some tigh high 'fishing' boots - good, I'll tell ya - and others with a bit of fur that reminded me of those Kate Moss used to wear. I can't remember the name, though. Uku something.
The dresses were beautiful and short and the coats (Coelho's favorite pieces) came long, in capes and jackets. The show ended with an Eight Legs song (they played here at SPFW yesterday).
