Gladiator Sandals

To me, if a pair of shoes/sandals/boots (let alone gladiator sandals) don't look good in pictures with no one wearing them, then it's a hard sell to love them in person. The only excuse to me for not liking certain shoes seen in pictures is if they aren't sold in your size. So since I dissed those sandals earlier, chances are, I wouldn't want to even be near them.

Jessica Simpson kinda made a similar shoes as Balmain... To me they aren't really 'gladiators' but whatever... I love the Balmain ones!!

I was looking through the pages of the most recent Allure magazine. Some gladiator sandals offered at Dillard's was something different. It had a lovely shape, about three or four buckles, and really looked very nice.

So looking around the Dillard's website, here are some gladiator sandals (or at least labeled as gladiators:(

Then some of them are the strappy nightmares I've said as testament to some gladiator sandals' ugliness. Some even are more like boots with an identity crisis. To me, I'm about moderation. If you want an example of overkill and a seriously evil and ugly appearance, I give you this:

That be all. Thanks for reading.

The two flat pairs are nice, but I really dont like the cork heels, makes them look quite cheap to me :ninja:

Just got these! I think they're perfect for the summer. I was drawn to them because they reminded me of Balmain shoes and plus they were on sale.

Okay... I think those sandals in Post #846 are pretty manageable. Its design with those studs aren't too much a deterrent to where I'd tap into my dark side and just lash out on them. At least I'm making an effort to like gladiator sandals. Those are very nice. Good purchase!

beautiful pair Nayna! congratulations! how much were they?
I am a big fan of gladiators, they're so comfy and stylish, I need to buy another pair ^_^

I'm trying to find those kind of gladiators for a long time Nayna, they are super beautiful, congrats:heart:

Is there anything like the Nine West Heech around this season? I'm having a hell of a job finding some nice black wedge gladiators!

So glad I found this thread. I'm thinking about investing in a pair since I'm not working right now and am looking forward to casual, no heels SoCal summer. Based on the looks available I'm likely to spend upwards of $400 on them. Should I choose a more basic, flat, not Balmain-y model above the ankles but not yet wrapping the calves? And definitely something wearable for more than one season?

Any suggestions welcome. :flower: Thanks!!!!

These are mine which I got from 'Pop' in Leeds. I have worn them quite a bit when we have had some 'summer' and they are really comfortable. By the way, I didn't realise how hard it is to get a decent picture of your own legs & feet!

Old pair from batashop

Theyre always in my closet for a night out theyre so old lol:P

If you haven't read from the "Trends we Love" thread, I've eased up somewhat on gladiator sandals. Still don't love them as much as a pair of mary janes or some romantic ankle boots (with closed toes, mind you), but I've eased up on them to a degree. The ones in Post #853 and (especially) Post #858 are lovely. There's just certain gladiator sandals I can tolerate. But... I'm easing up on my dislike of them.
