Gladiator Sandals

i got the gladiator sandals today from urbanog
they fit pretty well considering i had to size up
i love them...they look really great

meanwhile my boyfriend laughed at them and asked if i was trying to be Russel Crow in Gladiator.
What does he know?...i'll be getting the last laugh when we go on vacation in May and get tons of compliments on them

I had a pair of gladiator sandals from ZARA and my bf calls them the 300 sandals - along with everyone else!

i just ordered the nine west wedges in Bronze
i liked the black, brown and white...but i thought the bronze was so different and funky

I don't think anyone will actually understand gladiator sandals if people generally are not into fashion..until of course when it becomes a huge mainstream thing. Lets hope not. Gladiators already have been around for years..
Got my Nine West wedges. They're great! also comfortable ( I think). Where do you guys where them?

i cannot even tell you how many times i have been ahead of the trends
people looked at me like i had 5 heads when i would ask stores if they had "skinny jeans" a few years ago...they were like "whats that?....ones that are slimming?"

I was like "no no...they're tight jeans...tight down the leg." and they're like "tappered jeans?!?!"
hahah...a few years later and now look....who HASNT heard of skinny jeans!?

i've been wearing this great old pair of gladiator style flip flops for years, but they werent too "loud" looking. people will see my gladiator knee high sandals at first and probably smirk...and then their second thought will be "those are actualy pretty hot..where can i find a pair?"

You're exacltly like me! and I think it goes for a lot of tfs'ers. They don't know any better. So just let them be. lol. Lets hope gladiators wont become too mainstream. They really have been around for years, but were never really that popular. But i have this feeling it will be? since you see it everywhere now (celebs/magazines,catwalk)..oh man.

ASOS has a pair of high sandals. Although I'm not a fan of the gold . It is a plus that it is leather

Like a lot of us in this thread I've been wearing gladiator sandals for a few years as I see them as 'classics'. I got a nice pair from K. Jacques when I was in Paris. It was so hard to decide which ones and which colour to get, but I decided on black in this style:

I think gladiator sandals are pretty mainstream now- pretty much if mall stores carry them then that means mainstream to me. Not that I care.

I don't know if these are considered gladiator or not- some think so, but I thought they are a nice variation of gladiator type sandals...

I was thinking about getting the Nine West ones in brown, but honestly I don't think I need them since I bought the Acne Jeans ones... or do I?

the giuseppe zanotti for balmain s/s 08 snakeskin/rope gladiator is ferce!!!!! but the price is outrageous, $1386 at intermix. giuseppe's own line doesn't even go that high in price

I thought gladiators have been "in" since a couple of seasons ago? I think the only pro for any trend to be mainstream is that if you like it, it will be more readily available to you. It's both a good and bad thing.

I wanted those Nine West gladiator wedges but now that everyone is rushing out to buy a pair I'm second guessing myself. Still, I'm having trouble finding a good spring shoe I like. Oh well, I still have time to look. it isn't going to get very warm any time soon.
