Gloom Rock Style

I meant for this thread to go more on a semi-goth look in general...if it's a fashion board, it doesn't really matter exactly what sub-genre of music they play, does it?

well...
i think it kind of does matter...quite a bit...
since it is all part of the image and who they are,....

i mean...
you wouldn't just call something 'babydoll' because it's PINK...
just like it isn't appropriate to call anything 'goth' just because it's BLACK...

the terms actually MEAN something...IN FASHION...and in music...you can't put skinny puppy in with the smiths...it's not remotely related

if we don't specify,..
then this thread has no 'real' topic...
it's just pictures of moody 'alternative' bands...
i liked the title 'gloom rock'...
but the first post talking about 'goth' is misleading i think ...
interpol isn't goth either...more new wave...
but i think gloom rock works for all of it...

someone dressed as robert smith for halloween?..
that is certainly NOT robert smith...it's a girl...

I absolutely agree, I believe I said "goth and pseudo-goth rock" in the first post, I thought that would be clear enough? Let's just stick with "gloom rock" then
