Her new look (esp. in the A&E video) reminds me a LOT of Nina Ricci SS08. ;D
Must be the sylvan wood nymph vibe.

that must be will in the owl costume...hehe

you and i both fille. i've been such a faithfull listener through it all since felt mountain and are the first band i truly connected with. somehow when i hear their music and i see alison,i actually see a bit my own personality being expressed...if that makes any non-deranged sense

i understand completely.

they are just so inspiring, in everything they do. & i think its so amazing that they really do do everything themselves. which is something you hardly ever find in todays music.

their music...oh god...i cant even describe...its unlike anything else. how it can make you feel. they are amazing at what they do. long live goldfrapp!

^^I saw it on their DVD Wonderful Electric and I've been totally surprised too! This women is simply amazing!

she's actually an untrained opera singer and she's got this wonderful range of octave that really allows her to make those sounds into the distorting mic. i've heard people that attended their performances during felt mountain, saying that one really should hear her voice behind the microphone. it's remarkable.

^thanks scott! she's so interesting, everything about her-her voice, her style..

i bet their performances will be very intimate again. i actually wonder how they will manage to contrast this more cerebral transistion with the ooh la la's and strict machine's. or if they will abandon those tunes for a while? i know during black cherry and supernature tours they juxtoposed a couple felt mountain tracks but with this new album it doesn't seem like it would be right for this new mood. i would hope that they would want to start fresh and do seventh tree...a of course a few b-sides from the album, which they normally do on all of the albums.

thats something they themselves dont even know yet. they did say though that they wanted to try & remix most of the older stuff so it would fit in better with the newer.

slower version of supernature tracks would be gorgeous!

they havent recorded any bsides yet, well as of last week, but im hoping by the next single there will be at least a few. goldfrapp's bsides are always so good. big black cloud, little white lie & all night operator are two of my favourites - ever. and they were both bsides.
