These were taken in Berlin in 1925....One could suppose that they were for publicity for her movie "Die Freudlose Gasse" (The Joyless Street), as this was a German movie that premiered in Germany in 1925.
Thought I would celebrate my 1500th post by posting more Garbo candids!
Note:
The dark one where you can't see her face is while she was vacationing in Italy around 1939.
The girl is director Victor Sjöström's daughter.
The man she is walking with (glasses; no hat) is her brother Sven.

I am watching "Queen Christina" and I am amazed how much transgender role playing is in the film! It must have been quite shocking to the general public when it was first shown in 1933.

I love these boots - in one scene, she turns them down, changing the boot from mid-thigh to knee high.

Garbo was obviously a woman in the film, but I love that swaggers around as a man quite often!
I have so many new pics, but have been very bad about posting. Celebrating my 1600 posts (aka, whatever the hell gets me to post), here's a new pic of Garbo!
I believe these are late 1940s, early 1950s. I love seeing all of the shots from a session (as I find it interesting to see which of the shots became most popular, and also seeing how she 'works the camera' from shot to shot).
